I used it to cut into a plastic washer tray
It was my first time using a hole saw and a drill. I had to cut a whole in a plastic washer tray and connect the drain (it's so my washing machine on the second floor won't accidentally flood the room). How it works is you put one of the hole saw pieces onto the mandrel and then connect it to a drill (drill sold separately). I had to learn the hard way how it really works. The mandrel thing has a drill bit on it and that's what is used to cut the hole where you want it. I thought at first, I will first use one of the small hole saw pieces to make a small hole to see where the drain is, then use the bigger hole saw piece to make my final hole. However, I could no longer make the final hole after making the small hole because the drill bit of the mandrel could no longer grip onto anything since I already cut a small hole. It is probably impossible to cut a hole with this tool if the drill bit has nothing to grip on to (I tried and couldn't get it done). I did some quick thinking and just put the washer tray over a stack of cardboard, then used the hole saw to cut my final hole (the drill bit of the mandrel used the cardboard to grip onto to make the hole where i needed it. I don't consider myself to be a handy person but I was able to figure out how to use this even though there were no directions. And I installed my washer tray on my own.

Black & Decker 71-120 Hole Saw Assortment, 5-Piece
I previously had a set of these Hole Saw kit, I'm not sure what brand to they were, anyway these are stuff that I hardly use, so the first kit which was of very good quality disappeared, most likely by a borrower not returning them. However recently I need one in a pinch to install a door lock which required a hole of one and one quarter inch to be drilled through the door. I must say when you have Prime Shipping with Amazon; purchases of this kind is akin to running down to the corner hardware store. I saw this set and was amazed at how cheap it was, it arrived very quickly. It performed well and got the job done, except for one thing , there is a little set screw that holds the saw firmly on the drill bit, after the job was completed, I observed that it came loose. So now I have get me an Allen wrench set, to tighten that's screw before it's next use. I am one that does not excuse bad "quality control" by manufacturers of any product. That screw being loose could have caused an accident and possible injury to me the user, the "saw section" could have dangerously flew off the drill bit. I still gave the product rating a four-stars,because of its very cheap price, I'm just a bit cautious in regards to the screw loosening on first time I used it, hopefully that not a trend of "sloppiness" by the manufacturer.

Did what I needed.
These did exactly what I needed them to do. I drilled a bunch of 2 1/8" holes into a tupperware container lid to make a hydroponics plant cloning machine. These worked pretty much perfectly. I can't say how they would work on wood, but as long as you aren't trying to drill through really hard wood like maybe oak I wouldn't expect any problems. The only possible issue I noticed is that when the nut isn't tightened all the way it can jump a little bit, and the nut securing the guide bit to the holesaw might come a little bit loose if you are using this for a big job, so it's a good idea to check the tightness between holes.

Decent for the price.
After spending eleven dollars, I really wasn't expecting too much from these hole saw bits. That said, they did the job, and were about 70% cheaper than comparable attachments at my local home improvement store.I purchased these to cut holes to route cables behind my monitors (through my custom desk). I was pleased to see that they cut through the 2" wood without too much hassle, and more importantly left a surprisingly smooth finish on the cut. I only had to do very minor sanding (I had planned on much more) to remove all splinters.Honestly, for eleven bucks, I wouldn't have cared if these were single-use hole saws, simply because cable management is worth that amount (and then some) to me. They are of good-enough quality that they will remain in my toolbox and hopefully see a lot more use!Are they kinda cheap in finish and quality? Sure. But for the price paid I was actually pleasantly surprised.

Works but issue with locking screw over time and use.
Did the job just fine. Over time the small locking screw that secures the drill bit into the receiver had vibrated loose. I didn’t notice it was no longer in place until my last project. It all still worked but was more clunky. The receiver stayed secure in the drill with the circular saw bit. The drill bit kept falling out of the middle and needed to be replaced by hand. That tiny screw that holds the bit to the saw blade seems to be difficult to replace. So I either need to purchase a new set or limo along with a set that works but had to be reassembled constantly.

Good for a DIY'er
I am using these products to cut through plywood under my fascia to pull CAT5 down for security cameras. I have also used it to bore through drywall as well. The products are sturdy enough and create nice holes when you put a proper pilot hole to start. For the price, I like this product. I am concerned about its long term durability, but for a DIY'er/non-pro it seems to answer the mail. And for the price point, it is easy to say it is a good purchase. The one draw back is that there is no case to store them in; hence the cheaper price I assume, so just make sure you have a good home for the tools so they don't damage other hardware or power cables they get stored with.

Great bargain for occasional use.
Hey, it is cheap but I needed something to drill a hole in a shelf to insert a grommet to handle my electronic cords for tablets, phones, laptop, eBook reader that I plug in every night so that the empty cords would not fall through. Then I used another size to drill some holes in the back of a console supporting my HDTV and holding my cable box and DVD player, etc. behind glass doors. The cable box would get too hot and shut down. The 4 holes at the top of the back solved the ventilation problem. Then I used another to drill a starter hole in a wall to run a wire to a new electrical outlet. This was cheaper than buying just one expensive hole cutter. And it is still useful. Yes, it is cheap steel and has limits in how long the teeth will last but it has done way more than its cost for me and I expect to get a lot more use out of the set.
