I gave this only four stars just because it is new, so I can't speak for it's durability. But I'm super happy with this product and the company. I bought this because I bought a solid steel Celtic design lanyard from this company and LOVED it. Its super solid and will likely last a lifetime +. Then I bought this lanyard from the same company because I figured for safety purposes (though I doubt its realistically necessary in my line of work, but the lanyard my employer supplied had a release) I better get the safety feature detachable lanyard. I like this slim lanyard because it allows me to carry my badges in my small purse (unlike bulky cloth strap lanyards) and it goes with everything I wear. It appears strong as the beads are strung on wound steel wire. I have other jewelry with the same type of magnetic clasp which is very strong. I've worn this for a couple of weeks & had one or two instances where the clasp opened from the lanyard being pulled. I have three badges and a key hanging off this, so it holds a reasonable weight. I like it so much i also bought the multi colored bead one from same company for fashion choice, tho have not used it yet. I like ease of detaching badges on jump ring from the lanyard for times I have to go into an area where I cannot wear the length of beading (e.g. a detention center, where the length of lanyard could potentially transformed into a choking device). I highly recommend this item. One Year Update - still getting compliments all the time - I wear this daily, have added a couple more small keys and it holds them. No problems, comfortable to wear, works great, light yet sturdy.

I love the lanyard. It's very pretty and made very well. It doesn't make me feel like it's going to break with an unexpected tug. The magnets are strong and it is able to break away, but not so easily that it falls off if it gets hung on something. I would love to see a 2 length version sold. I would pay a few dollars extra for a little longer version. I am a tall person and a teacher, so I use my classroom keys a lot as well as my security badge. I have to bend over to unlock doors or take it off completely. This is probably a great length for a smaller/shorter person, so keep it for those folks. But if these are handmade, go ahead and offer that little longer version. And if this happens, hopefully the company notifies me. I would be happy to repurchase the product.

This lanyard is beautiful and functional! I love how it can dress my outfit up. Working with kids, it is important to have a lanyard that will break away if pulled. The magnet is durable and will pull apart if needed. This is the third time buying this lanyard. I put a lot of wear on them and they haven’t broken apart. I wish they would sell this as a necklace because I would definitely buy one!

This lanyard is adorable and fashionable. It's super cute and useful if you don't do a lot of physical work. However, as a very busy nurse, every time I leaned over a patient it would smack them in the face, and the lanyard kept getting caught on things and falling off. Which, by the way, the magnet closure does it's job of keeping the lanyard together, and then pulling apart easily when it gets caught on something so you don't get hurt or choked. I can see where if you are a nurse who works with a patient who might grab the lanyard and pull on it, the magnet closure is a fantastic safety feature.

I love this piece I get compliments on it constantly I work in registration in the er so I needed something that would release easily for safety issues I haven’t had issues with it tarnishing or turning my skin green I’ve had a few times I was doing something and I pulled it off my neck but that’s kind of the whole purpose other wise it stays attached very well and so far the quality has been great I’ve very pleased with this product I will say I think the clasp is going to be the first to give out bc it slides side to side but if that breaks it’s a simple fix and the lanyard still can serve it’s purpose and when I need to replace it I will be coming back to purchase again

I wasn't expecting that much when I ordered this lanyard; I just wanted one with white beads in it. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package and felt the weight of it. It felt like I was wearing jewelry. A lot of the lanyards I own are very lightweight and cheaply made. This one has a silver hook that is sturdy, and the combination of silver beads and white, translucent beads is lovely. I will mostly likely purchase another of these lanyards in a different color, for variety. Very happy with this purchase.

I have gotten so many compliments on this. It doesn't look really cheap. I am on my second one. The wires pulled out of the crimp that holds the end of the wire around the magnetic clasp after about a year. I don't know whether there would be similar problems with the non-breakaway version, but I am supposed to have a breakaway lanyard for safety. I added a few drops of superglue to the crimp on the new one. Time will tell whether that helps.

This lanyard is ok, and better looking than the old, fabric, company-issued one I had, but it's really chunky and heavy. It looked much sleeker in the photo. It seems to be well-made and has held up so far, but I find myself wanting to take it off by lunchtime because of the weight. I also am not a fan of the length and wish it were longer. Overall, an ok lanyard, but I think in a few months I'll try another one with a thinner chain.

I ordered two from Hidden Hollow Beads and both are beautiful, and is exactly as advertised. My staff really love them and will probably be ordering.

The lanyard is so beautiful, but unfortunately it doesn't last. The magnets don't release when the lanyard catches on something. Even a moderate tug will send all the beads spilling onto the floor. Maybe a jeweller could fix it, but otherwise it's gone once it breaks. Where the lanyard meets the magnets, the connection is weak. This has happened twice to me, so it's not just one faulty lanyard. Sad, because they're gorgeous.
