I bought these aviation/ marine type plugs for my motorcycle- to be able to attach wiring to my top box for extra brake lights etc. Discreet, small and tidy does a great job, Used them on different bikes over the years, well worth it.

Excellent connectors.
Excellent 4 pin plugs. I’m using these to plug in a red, green and blue 12volt led light strip. They work well, have a good tight fit to them and screw down nicely to prevent the connection falling out.Perfect for what I needed.

Size matters
Socket external diameter for panel mount is12mm. The plastic part of the plug is just under 9mm. The pins in the socket are about 1mm diameter. This is the smaller12mm size. Confusing enough there is a 16mm one, with about 12mm diameter of the plastic plug, as shown in the second photo in a 2 contact variant.

Did the job - just.
I bought these for a valve Phono preamp I'm building. They're not bad, but not the best. Easy up on the soldering iron heat, as the plastic melts very easily when soldering wires. The pins also take a while to solder. Something to do with the plating. Also some of the buckets in the pins are different size, so if the wire you're using is a thicker gauge, you will struggle.Over all though, they are OK. They did the job for my purpose. Whether they last, remains to be seen.
