I got the smallest version for my cat who can somehow make a mess of ANYTHING he eats. I also removed the silver insert bowls and just use the silicone part. I think it is a LOT easier to clean that way and it works better for what my cat needs. This bowl/mat combo is perfect. It stays put while he eats, so it’s not scooting around. The bottom is the right shape that his food doesn’t get crammed in corners (he eats canned food that would get caught in the corner of his old bowl). The sides are tall enough that the food stays in the bowls while he eats and even when it does go over the side, the mat catches it. This thing makes feeding so much easier.

Finally, a no-spill anti-slip bowl that works. My 10 y.o. cat suddenly became obsessed with all the pet water bowls in the house. She wasn’t happy until she went around the house rocking, flipping, relocating and spilling all of the three water bowls in the kitchen and den. The two small dogs are gated in the kitchen and den when everyone’s at work, but the cat has freedom to sail over all the gates and go wherever she wants (Cats 101)......leaving the dogs with empty water dishes. These bowls are perfect. They fit into the silicone mold so perfectly that she’s given up even trying to pry them loose. I fill them both with water and everyone’s happy. It’s so easy to clean and it’s all one piece so even if water spills a little it collects in the tray which has a lip so nothing spills on the floor. I do keep a water bowl in the small bathroom which has a shower stall so the cat can still satisfy her water obsession and make all the mess she wants. This product is well made and does what it says. Arrived quickly, well packaged. Great purchase!

Concept is awesome and it worked great for weeks. But eventually, Doug outsmarted it. Doug is a 20 lb cat who LOVES to play in his water. Washes his paws like a raccoon, splashes, drinks, etc. At first, this was the perfect solution and kept him from dumping his water all over my (expensive 😭) hardwood floors. Then he discovered how fun it is to hook a paw in the mat itself and take advantage of the foldable nature of it. Mat flips, bowls spill, and sometimes they even make a satisfying crashing sound in the middle of the night! If your cat is normal, this is an awesome product. If your cat has “evil genius” on his vision board, maybe not…

I’m so happy I found these bowls. My cat is constantly either playing in or purposefully spilling his water. Automatic water dispensers are a big no because he will sit for literal HOURS and empty the bowl because he likes the hear the dispenser “glug”. I couldn’t even make this stuff up. I’ve come home after an 8 hour work day to find the jug bone dry (after filling it the morning of) because he has sat and emptied it. Because of this I switched to a normal water bowl and retired the water dispenser. My cat then started to drink the water by laying on his side with half of his face in the bowl, causing it to spill over due to the weight of his head. I didn’t know what to do, so I resorted to just constantly cleaning up the spilled water. After all, at this point I figured at least he wasn’t doing it on purpose… Until he was. He figured out that if he stuck his paw in the bowl and pushed down, he could spill the water onto the ground and then play in it. I searched high and low to find the perfect bowl. I considered ordering the “spill proof” bowls you see but knew he would still figure out how to dump it. I even moved his water dish into the bathtub so in the event he did spill it, I didn’t have to wipe it up every day. Then I found these. He has NEVER spilled them or even been able to since the rim of the dish/the actual bowl isn’t visible. The mat itself doesn’t move around and stays in place. It’s easy to toss in the sink and wipe down, and the bowls I just toss in the dishwasher every once in a while. I fill both of the dishes with water (as opposed to one with food) because he still plays in them every once in a while, but he also just drinks constantly. I highly recommend these bowls for the pet that spills everything!

I have tried several different bowls for our cats because one of them was pulling the bowl around and spilling it all over my floor. This mat/bowls are great. We have had no mess since this. If they splash a little it goes on the rubber mat so it's easy cleanup and no more messes on my floor. The bowl is larger and holds a little more water so it's heavier so the cat can't drag it around.

I almost never write reviews, because I'm lazy and want to do my shopping in peace, and privately. But I'm so pleased with this, and its simplicity and effectiveness has amazed me. For some reason, my cats had decided lately to spill their water. Slanted-side bowls wouldn't tip, but they still smacked them and I'd come home to a small river on my kitchen floor (especially problematic since I'm in a second floor apartment). This contraption is simple and perfect. They still occasionally try to bat at the water, but the most they can accomplish is an ounce or so on the mat, which has an edge to prevent even that bit from getting on the floor. My stress level is way lower. Worth every penny.

The product is fine but came bent and the silicone mat is all warped and hasn't flattened out after many weeks. I considered returning but I already got rid of my dogs old bowels and it doesn't look horrible and is pretty effective at keeping her from spilling everywhere.

I moved into a new house and wanted the cat feeding area to look nice and work well with the animals in the kitchen. After much searching I found these bowls. I got two sets. One small for the cat food and a larger one for the dry food and water. First of all they look attractive. They are made of high quality rubbery stuff with a "spill proof" design. There is a small "lip" at the edges that keeps the food and water off the floor. One of my cats likes to drink with her paw and always spills water all over the place. This is now contained by the design and I don't have that problem anymore. I am extremely happy with this purchase. It looks good in the dining area and it is easy to feed and clean. That was exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend these bowl sets.

This is a solid product. Bowls do not move and the mat catches most of the slurpy slop mess. Interestingly one of my 3 cats actually moved from her regular bowl and prefers these ones. It may be because they bowls are slightly wider and not as deep as her usual one. Maybe the whisker fatigue is a thing. But I am happy enough with this product to give it a positive review. I would recommend it for sure. UPDATE 2024: This is a great product and holds up well. I WISH THIS WAS IN STOCK BECAUSE I WOULD GET ANOTHER ONE.

Love this! The dog is no longer chasing his food bowl around the floor and not wiping up puddles of water - it's caught by the silicone mat. I appreciate that there's no pattern/logo/cheesy bone graphic anywhere on it and it can be popped in the dishwasher to clean.

I got this because our cats would slap the bowl on the floor over and over (even when their bowls were full). This rubber bowl mat works wonders, they haven't been able to slam the bowl since. The rubber does collect hair and the bowls are not attached, so I'm just waiting for our cats to figure it out, but all and all this product has solved the issue. 😊

Perfect size shape and function for our Labrador retriever pup, really convenient to clean up excess water spills and food fit perfectly into the top shelf of our dishwasher.. The removable stainless steel bowls are quick to take out clean and put back yet fit snug enough to pop can’t pull them out yet.

Finally a mat that works ! My ferrets have defeated every mat/watering system so far. This one is up to the task ! No spills, mat doesn't move on the laminate, and seems sturdy. Been using it a while now and to date no issues with durability. I'll make further comments if anything changes.
