Great Product.
Two-year update. Deleted everything thing I said in the begging. I have had these for two years. We do a burlesque dinner theater and we also do outside gigs for corporate parties and i was looking to build a not very heavy, inexpensive light show with the most bang for a buck. Movers are always my favorite. but they are heavy and ones that will respond to dmx are expensive. Also if you have heavy lights you need heavy truss, now a bigger van, and not working is no fun. So I got 4 of these. The good. They are very bright. i know that is relative so let me say, i have chauvet sr 14s. Got 10 of them and some bright pars with 2oo plus wats of leds. I have to turn them down in the light show to match. They are cheap bang for the buck. They are metal and kind of sturdy. For backlights, they are very effective, however, its best to not shine them at the audience as they are bright. And its odd, the light is focused so you cant tell they are bright but they will hurt your eyes. This is a good thing. Just dont look at them. I tried them for front lights like as a wash with mixed results. I don't like front lights as led lights as they make people look weird, or ugly, or bring our makeup in odd ways. But I wanted something light so I tried it. But that is ok as there are a ton of uses here. I ended up getting a total of, 14 of them. In the roadshow i use 3 on the top bar, 3 on the back floor shooting up, 3 in the front floor shooting up for effect, and 4 for the club from the top back. Makes for great chase lights like a cabaret theater I was going for. But can wash out the other lights if you don't turn them down. We program all lights with dmx, make videos, and time dmx scenes to the song. For DJ, this is the best bang. Im kind of jealous cause when you go in sound mode, there is one of the best sound programs i have seen. When you are in DMX mode, it will not allow you to access that function. However again as a dj, they are very light and you can put them all sorts of places. The only bad I have is this. I run a computer with dmx. If the computer needs to restart it drops dmx signal. If the lights are on, in dmx mode, and it drops the dmx signal, the will snap to sound mode, and the only way to get them back to dmx, is to have the sending dmx on, and restart them. You would be surprised how often this happens and do not remember. Out of many many lights, they are the only onces i have ever owned, and i started with super cheap lights, that have done this. So say you walk in your set up. Start turning them on, and you do it before the light bored, or launching the computer, or the light program, they will blink in sound mode, and you will have to go back and restart them. So i set up a wireless remote on the plug, so when it happens i can turn if off and on. But sometimes, one of them will lose contact, this is out of 14 of them. So, I am ok at 100 a pop.

Great color capability and luminosity
Purchased these to supplement some Chauvet SlimPar Q6 lights. The DMX pattern is quite different with the added white channel for the OPPSK lights. Dimmer is on the high channel side with the SlimPar Q6, on the low channel side with these lights (9 channel mode). The luminosity of the OPPSK seems brighter when full on than the SlimPar's when they are full on. The extra white channel on the OPPSK may account for this. I measured the fan noise with the Android Smart Tools Sound Meter. With the light off the room was about 20 db, with the light on the fan was about 30 db a foot away (back & front). So if things are really quiet you will hear the fans, but in a normal stage environment they should not be a problem. The DMX controls worked just like the manual specified, as did the remote control, but with the remote you can only select 7 colors. The blinking DMX address is annoying, but it can be remedied by a little velcro patch over the display or some black tape. The mounting hardware is good, but the input power connector does seem to not fit as solid as other lights I own. Once the light went out while walking around the room. After pushing the connector in more solidly, I didn't notice this happening again. I ran it for several hours with no noticeable heat buildup. If the fan could be about 6db quieter, this would be an incredible light for theatres needing flexible wash lighting. Based on the price, however, they are a great value for their light output, quality and flexibility.

Great Light But Missing One Thing
I bought some of these for our DJ rigs and am also planning to buy more to use for up lighting. These are a great value for a good, bright RGBAW light. The fact that they have outlets on the back is a huge plus in my opinion as being able to power them light to light is needed in some applications. The only thing you should be aware of is that (at least from my experience) you can only dim them with a DMX controller. If you are using the lights as "stand alone", say for room dรฉcor up lighting, the remote control does not allow you to dim them when they are in a static color. The only option you have is full brightness. Otherwise I have nothing but good to say about the ones I have purchased and plan to buy more of them.

Great little instrument! Amazing price.
VERY happy with these! I am a lighting professional and designer and needed some color punch for a show I was designing. I bought six of these--they worked perfectly with DMX. Brighter than I expected. I used them for backlight at 20 foot trim height (above the stage) and was impressed by the intensity. Also the colors matched perfectly across all 6 instruments--which I have heard can be an issue in cheaper LED lights. DMX set up was easy and intuitive and the booklet that came with each is useful as well. Of course, had buy a clamp and safety cable separately but expected that. They seem to have a small fan but was completely inaudible during the performance, even in quiet moments. I have since used for several shows and no issues. And the description is a bit off--says IEC style poer in and out, but actually they have an IEC power in but Edison style power out (more useful than IEC out IMHO).

Fantastic lights
I bought six 40 inch and six 24 inch versions and they both provide plenty of brightness for indoor uplighting. I'm using them with DMX control and they perform very smoothly, although the two versions don't have exactly the same DMX control commands. Using 7 and 8 channels of DMX though, you can make them behave the same to produce basic colors if you're using an inexpensive DMX slider controller. They all are color matched very well, no doubt using the same LED devices for both versions. Even though they don't have a separate white LED (only tri-color), they can produce a nice warm white just by blending RGB. I did not see a way to make these lights cycle color in a blended mode. Perhaps I just missed it. Both versions are solidly built, and all twelve were undamaged in shipping since each is packaged with good foam protection (the ends of the individual boxes come open too easily, allowing the metal L-brackets to bounce around in the Amazon box). All in all, its worth twice the price paid.

Works well
I purchased this light to front illuminate a scrim for a stage production. However another production person had five additional strip lights that were a different brand, so I used them for the scrim and used this light to illuminate the pit orchestra. I did notice that, as the Amazon headline indicates, that this strip light is more of a wash light. The light spread is wider than the other strip lights by Dragon or ADJ. This worked well for my use. I used DMX control only. The unit appears to be well made and easy to use. My other comment was that when the light was set to use DMX control, and DMX data was not being sent to the light, that the light would illuminate with white light. This actually worked for my application, as the theater was quite dark when I turned off the DMX controller, and it gave me illumination to get to the circuit breaker box and exit. All other LED stage lights that I used, would be off when DMX data was removed. Again, this was not a problem for me, but could be annoying for other applications. I was very happy with my purchase and will probably purchase additional units so that I can use these in a longer area.

Overall a nice LED par, but noisy
Overall I really like these LED Pars. Enough that I bought about 10 of them. They are reasonably priced, bright, well built and look good with lots of color and DMX options. The only negative I will say is they are a little noisy if you want to use them in a quiet environment. They have a fan that runs constantly to cool the circuits. I only notice it when I'm using them in a quiet environment, otherwise it's are not a big issue.
