I have this EGT Gauge on my 1996 Hilux Surf Diesel. Works fantastic.

I love this gauge so far. As others have said it is bright even when on the lowest setting but since i have mine mounted down low beside my knee it doesn't bother me at all. In the day time you can easily see the digital number and it's great for just a quick glance while you have the throttle pinned. Everyone that's seen them has loved them. The digital/analog is what really makes this gauge great. Start up sequence is pretty cool too. If you have to drill/tap your manifold(do it before the turbo if you have one) as I did then crank your truck up, drill the hole and go slow once you get close to going through. Leave it running while slowly tapping the hole, reversing the tap about every quarter or half turn and you'll see that the tiny metal shavings pop out like freakin popcorn from the exhaust pressure. I actually put on safety glasses because they were popping up close to my face. This was on a Cummins so a V8 might not have quite the exhaust pressure but she'll probably do fine. I also have the boost gauge and will more than likely get the tranny temp gauge before too long. Boost gauge has worked well so far.

I have a 2006 Ford F250 6.0 and I wanted a gauge that matched the factory interior lighting. This gauge series does just that. I was very impressed at how well it works. Every modified diesel should run a pyrometer gauge. The sensor that came with it was very easy to install. The only part that may be difficult for some is that you have to use a tap set to tap threads into the manifold. I used a harbor freight tap and die set and it worked just fine. The dimming feature is great at night. The light does not dim using the dial but has a day and night setting based on if your headlights are on or off. The nighttime dim setting is not overbearing or distracting at all.

So far the gauge is holding up great! The accuracy is spot-on with the ISSPRO gauge this is replacing. Like others have noticed, the night time brightness is way too bright, even on it's lowest night mode setting. Great for those with cataracts, not so much for the rest of us.

I received my new MaxTow 1500 F Pyrometer and it fit in gauge cluster of my t600 very well. Installation was very easy and directions were straightforward. I have it connected to come on with the ignition and this seems to work fine and is illuminated all the time. Gauge is perfect not to bright at night nor to dime during the day. I am very pleased.

the package was delivered and i opened it up and the gauge was missing from the box. all the other components where there. Even the plastic window for the box was missing. the previous gauge i ordered was damaged in the box and that was returned as well

Put these in my truck, I love the gauges and the read out. Only problem I had was the dimmer button didn't work once I installed the gauges. They buttons would press before the install but not after. I did use a AutoMeter pod instead of the GlowShift brand. I could get the brightness to change sometimes if I took the gauge out of the pod and play with the wiring on the back side.
