Great Bulbs and Cheaper Than the Trailer Store
I bought 4 boxes of these LED bulbs in order to replace all of the regular halogen ones in my 5th wheel travel trailer. Some other reviewers have complained about defective bulbs being included in their order. Out of the 4 boxes that I ordered, only one didn't work (39 out of 40 isn't too bad). A few thoughts on the bulbs: 1. Right away, I noticed that these bulbs run MUCH cooler than the regular halogen bulbs. This is to be expected, of course, based on the differences between LED and halogen technology, but the difference was dramatic enough to bring a quick smile to my face. 2. There's a definite color difference between the light coming from most LED bulbs and these ones. Most I've purchased for other applications are extremely white and bright. I don't mind the bright part, but the white part reminds me a lot of how fluorescents typically feel. These bulbs are much different in that they have a much warmer, less white light that's easier on the eyes, but still quite bright. 3. Installation was extremely easy for the most part. I found that most of the bulbs just slid right into the slot. A few were a bit tight and had to be rocked from side to side in order to fit into the slot completely. Also, there's definitely way that the bulbs have to be inserted in the slot. If the bulb doesn't seem to work when first inserted, turn it around the other way and it should be fine. 4. Mixed feelings about one of the bulbs not working. At around $2 a piece for the bulbs, having even one not working is a bit of a bummer. I bought a total of 40 bulbs, so having one not work didn't seem as bad. I can definitely see how having one not work in a single box could be frustrating. 5. Power consumption has been much less than when the trailer was entirely halogen bulbs. I've noticed an appreciable difference in battery levels and longevity now that the power consumption is a fraction of what it was previously.

RV with LEDs
Ok, so hubby and I were wanting to replace the incandescent bulbs in the RV with LEDs. We were looking for a way to do it without tapping into our boys piggy banks. I started looking on Amazon and came across these and others similar to these. Given the price, I could manage to buy 2 packs of 10 and outfit our entire RV. As other reviewers mentioned, they are stubborn going into the socket but they do fit, just press firmly at the base of the bulb. Before I changed out the old bulbs the converter box would click on with the incandescent lights on. Now, the hum is gone. (I'm sure there is a more technical way of explaining that with watts and voltage power usage mentioned but it is what it is.) These lights are nice and bright with a crisp clean look to them. I have ordered the warm white 10 pack for more ambient light in the sconce for use when we are watching TV in the living area and the bedroom areas. But I really think I like the cool white everywhere else, ex: kitchen counter, bathroom, over the dinette and hallway.) Very happy with the product. All the lights worked, were all the same color temp (not mismatched like other reviewers mentioned) and priced phenomenally for the quantity given ~$2.40 ea. These were sold and shipped by Amazon so it was speedy. The others I just ordered are apparently on the fourth slow boat out of China so it will be after the 4th of July before I get them but I am expecting the same quality of product.

Not the brightest bulb in the RV, but the most cost-effective and energy-efficient
I bought 20 of these for my 2010 Jayco. I was confused at first about the kind of bulbs I needed, since the whole socket comes out of the base, but the wires are permanently attached. It wasn't until I fiddled with it a little bit that I realized that the glass part of the bulbs just slides right out. I checked the size of the socket against the old bulbs, and they are almost exactly the same size (within 1/2 millimeter). These are noticably whiter/bluer than the old bulbs. Also, they aren't quite as bright, but they are more directional so they are bright enough. Best of all, these are inexpensive. I had no DOA bulbs. They come in a little smoke-colored static-resistant envelope that smells slightly fishy. They do take a little force to push them in (pushing on the socket part only), but I was able to change out all 20 in about 10 minutes. Now the priceless part of this is the energy savings. For longer camping trips at non-electric sites, it will allow us to go longer without worrying about running out of electricity. Granted, you still have the water pump and furnace to worry about, but being able to use 1/7 of the electricity for lighting for the cost of a few bulbs and 10 minutes of time is well worth the investment in my book. If you have an RV and you're on the fence, just buy these. You won't regret it.

Nice bulb, traditional incandescent color, will buy again.
I just installed these (received them just a bit earlier). The color is very close to an incandescent. They fit perfectly, you may have to unplug/rotate the bulbs over to swap the polarity. I had to slightly adjust the wire contact on one outward a bit so it made contact with the fixture (just pushed it over a bit with fingernail), other than that no installation issues, worked great. I also received these in about 3 days (ordered Friday, delivered Tuesday). Very pleased at this point, time will tell on the longevity/etc. While installing I left several on for an extended period with the fixture cover on, minimal heat could be felt. This was important to me in the bunks where my daughters sleep, they like to have a 'nightlight' and often leave one on. I thought the incandescents ran a bit warm for this extended use, these I probably won't worry about as much.

These Bulbs Rock!! Read review!!!
Swapped out 20 old school lights for these. They all worked great and are a little brighter than the old school incandestant ones I replaced them with. The price is so economical that Walmart and camping world canโt touch them. If you are thinking about changing out your bulbs definitely do it for four simple reasons. 1. Price, they are almost $2.85 each, canโt beat that 2. Life: 50,000 hours, thatโs 5.7 years of continual use, yea these will outlast me 3. Power use: they are 1.5w each as opposed to 16.8w of the original bulb, serious consideration if you boondock from time to time, think about it have 20 16.8w bulbs on is 336w while 20 1.5w is only 30w or basically 15 LED = 1 incandescing. 4. Heat: these new LED after being on a few hours are warm to the touch, 16.8w replaced will burn your fingers off. I live and camp in Florida and the LEDโs keep the camper cooler. Love Long and Prosper!

Brighter than my future!!
I bought an RV recently and my lights were old and dim. I swapped them out with these and now I can actually see without my flashlight! I love them.

Awesome light
These led lights worked very well for my application. They donโt put off any heat, which is great since the plastic housing is so close to the light. And because each of these lights have their own electronics built into them, there is no flickering. They are a nice size and fit perfectly into the light sockets. They look great and appear to be made pretty good. Since they only fit into the socket one way, there is no way to reverse the polarity.

A pain in the ....
These work...maybe...and, I suppose they save power on the battery. However, they are a pain in the butt to get to work. I have to pry up the two wires and CAREFULLY insert them into the socket. If I pry up the wires too high, or not enough, nothing. It must be PERFECT. I ordered two packs of these to redo a camper and a couple of the lamps I never could get to work. Now, IF I get them to work, they will burn a long time and generate no heat. I had a fixture where the old, glass bulb was about to melt through the plastic cover. No more problem. Whiter, "Cleaner" light also. If only it did not take 20 minutes worth of work to get one lamp to work!

Great replacements for the original RV bulbs
Used this 10 pack of bulbs in my travel trailer and they work great. The light output is comparable to the original bulb, only slightly less intense. Same colour temperature though. And at 1.5 watts / bulb compared 18 watts / bulb of the originals, I can have all 10 of these LEDs on and still draw less power than one of the original bulbs. It shows too. I can turn every light in the trailer on and the inverter fan doesn't even come on. Another big bonus is no heat. These LED bulbs stay cool to the touch unlike the finger blistering originals.

Perfect for what I wanted.
Used for light outside my trailer. Works awesome and would buy again.

Just as advertised
The 2nd generation LED's are quite good. I would say they are about 30% brighter than the original incandescent bulbs I had in my trailer. The light is white but not painfully so. I replaced 3 bulbs in my tent trailer, total current draw is about 500 mA, vs. about 3 Amps for the incandescents. More light, easier on the battery--what's not to like? The only slight drawback is that they could fit a little more snugly into the receptacle.

Do not buy these! They will fail.
I've had these in my rv for 2 years. To date 14 of the 20 bulbs have had some sort of failure be it flickering or some portion of the leds failing. Contacted seller and was told they are out of warranty. Ill be replacing them all. Do not buy these!
