I decided to knock off one star because the helmet's visor does not really protect me from 3 p.m. sun at the end of October. But, I guess, no helmet does, as I have ridden in 3 different helmets with visor in the past week , and they could not protect my eyes from any sunbeams coming from the sides, and from sunbeams coming from the front when they were falling at the angle less than maybe 75Β°. I guess, the creators are trying to optimize the airodynamics vs sun protection properties of the helmet, at the expence of the latter. I'll try to find some fold-up sun glasses to add, if they even exist. Original review: First of all, this is one of a very few helmets that are small enough to fit a 55 cm head without leaving too much room on the back. (I always thought my head was on a larger side, but changed my mind after trying a good handful of helmets :)) Second (or maybe first), it is becoming me. Like other reviewers said, the white visor attachment has a whiter shade than the helmet body - but hey, they also include a black visor which looks very attractive on me. It does feel comfortable, but maybe I am just desencitized to to helmets and they all feel comfortable to me. :) Unlike the other hemets the lining in this one goes through the very middle of the front, which creates a little bump on the very front, and I believe that is how other reviewers received their "print mark" on the forehead, but I did not, so I guess, it depends on the shape and size of the head. If your forehead is not too convex or too big for the size, you will be fine. The light on the back is working fine, and has 4 different modes. I really have no pretense for this helmet and thus give it 4 stars and my recommendations. :) Review: Great Fit - This helmet is a great fit and has a few adjustable straps to fit most heads. It comes with a red blinker light that is rechargeable at the back of the helmet for that added safety. The ventilation is great as well, the helmet is lightweight and I can feel air moving through and cooling my head. ## Features - SAFETY - This GROTTICO bike helmet meets US & EU cycling standards. - ADJUSTABLE DIAL & STRAPS - The adjustable fit system for men and women. 2 sizes for choice, suggested head circumference: M (55-58CM), L (59-61CM) - INTEGRATED SAFETY REAR LIGHT - Bicycle helmet with USB rechargeable light. Best for night riding with 3 lighting modes, Steady, Flash and Wave. - TOUGH & LIGHTWEIGHT - Integrated forming a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the impact-absorbing foam liner. The fusion process makes helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets. - KEEP YOUR HEAD COOL - 23 vents keep ample ventilation. Provide one more set of helmet replacement inner pads and two different color visors to collocation. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B083K9Z9JT | | Age Range (Description) | Teen | | Age Range Description | Teen | | Brand | GROTTICO | | Brand Name | GROTTICO | | Colour | Matte Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 3,619 Reviews | | Inner Material | Expanded Polystyrene, Foam | | Item Dimensions | 25.4 x 17.8 x 10.2 Centimeters | | Item Weight | 0.66 Pounds | | Manufacturer | GROTTICO | | Manufacturer Part Number | W-019 | | Outer Material | Polycarbonate (PC) | | Outer Material Type | Polycarbonate (PC) | | Product Style | Hybrid Mountain-Road Biking Helmet | | Recommended Uses For Product | Cycling, Riding | | Size | M(55-58cm) | | Special Feature | Adjustable , Lightweight | | Special Features | Adjustable,Lightweight | | UPC | 779172990272 | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Brand:** GROTTICO - **Color:** Matte Black - **Size:** M(55-58cm) - **Special Feature:** Adjustable,Lightweight ## Images ![Adult-Youth-Men-Women Bike Helmet with Light - CPSC Certified for Mountain Road Bicycle Helmet Pads & Detachable Visor - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61-4B-h1TTL.jpg) ![Adult-Youth-Men-Women Bike Helmet with Light - CPSC Certified for Mountain Road Bicycle Helmet Pads & Detachable Visor - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61YzBa1-bYL.jpg) ![Adult-Youth-Men-Women Bike Helmet with Light - CPSC Certified for Mountain Road Bicycle Helmet Pads & Detachable Visor - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71jrEsCaC9L.jpg) ![Adult-Youth-Men-Women Bike Helmet with Light - CPSC Certified for Mountain Road Bicycle Helmet Pads & Detachable Visor - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61dx5aYNLjL.jpg) ![Adult-Youth-Men-Women Bike Helmet with Light - CPSC Certified for Mountain Road Bicycle Helmet Pads & Detachable Visor - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Jc1uzNwfL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: I fell and hit my head , helmet has a few dents in it , where do I send it back for replacement?** A: It's not a ridiculous question. Many major helmet companies offer some kind of free or discounted replacement if you're involved in a crash that damages the helmet. Google "bike helmet crash free replacement". You'll see for example Bontrager "With our Crash Replacement Guarantee, we will provide you with a free replacement helmet if it is involved in a crash within the first year of ownership." For this brand "Grottico", I can't find any info about a crash-replace program. **Q: Does the helmet have a cpsc certification sticker inside the helmet?** A: Yes **Q: How much difference is there between the medium and large sizes as far as fit is concerned?** A: I have a rather large head so I knew the M wouldn’t be the one for me. The large fits very well and the helmet has an adjustment in the back so you can make it slightly larger or smaller. The helmet is very light and a solid product. Hope this helps with your decision. Oh the the light on the back of the helmet gives great visibility to drivers. **Q: How do you remove the warning lamp to charge it?** A: The light gets popped out of the helmet completely to charge. Pry it a little from each side. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty, small enough and comfortable. *by A***X on 21 October 2021* P.S. It comes with a red blinker light that is rechargeable at the back of the helmet for that added safety. The ventilation is great as well, the helmet is lightweight and I can feel air moving through and cooling my head. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great helmet with a great visible back light. *by C***E on 18 April 2025* This is a great helmet. I wear it every time I’m on my bike. I have even had compliments on how the light on the back is a good idea. It’s not heavy and it fits great. The chin strap does sometimes not stay in the buckle but it’s an easy fix. Only happened 3 times since July of 2024. It’s a great safe helmet. Charging the light is easy and only it lasts awhile. ## Frequently Bought Together - Adult-Men-Women Bike Helmet with Light - Mountain Road Bicycle Helmet with Replacement Pads & Detachable Visor - Lamicall Bike Phone Holder, Motorcycle Phone Mount - Motorcycle Handlebar Cell Phone Clamp, Scooter Phone Clip for iPhone 15 Pro Max/Plus, 14 Pro Max, S9, S10 and More 4.7" to 6.8" Smartphones - Ascher Ultra Bright USB Rechargeable Bike Light Set, Powerful Bicycle Front Headlight and Back Taillight, 4 Light Modes, Easy to Install for Men Women Kids Road Mountain Cycling Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/791658710-adult-youth-men-women-bike-helmet-with-light-cpsc-certified](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/791658710-adult-youth-men-women-bike-helmet-with-light-cpsc-certified) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
