The Coldest Water Insulated Standard Mouth Size 2.0 - Sports Straw Cap Flip Top Lid - Multi-Compatible with Standard Flask Mouth Size Stainless Steel Water Bottles (Jupiter Orange)

I've e-mailed the company with no success, so here's my honest review. Every piece inside the plastic bag is suffused with the smell and taste of old, used mint chewing gum. The sipping lid, the plastic straws, the whole contents can't be used. It tastes as bad as it smells. Coolest Water replied to my first e-mail saying rinse the parts in warm water. I did that; then used soapy water, then very hot water, then soaked them in a tub, changing the water every few days. No further response to my e-mails, apart from a daily promotional e-mail saying how great they were, and even after being submerged for over two weeks, the stale mint taste was still too strong to use the lid. Very disappointed, considering the cost and shipping with exchange rate.

Only lasted 2 months then completely split apart. Waste of money.

We've purchased the Standard fliptop lid on many occasions because we like them better than the lids that come on our Hydroflask water bottles. We have bought them via Amazon and The Coldest website. Recently, I had my standard fliptop lid break at the base. I had not bumped it nor dropped it. I noticed a gap and merely went to tighten it and it was broken. I went on the website to purchase another white lid only to find that I was having extreme difficulties navigating the website (which I'm not saying is their fault) and then finally discovered that they don't have the white lid in stock and were not able to tell me when they would again. Our past experiences have been more than satisfactory with the Coldest standard flip top lid though this time has been very disappointing. I'll just purchase a different color. I recommend these lids and hope that this situation gives them feedback for improvement. Have a great year.

My original coldest bottle didn’t work. I bought a new lid to see if itWas the lids problem. It was, colors don’t match but it works and the coldest bottle is the best I have ever had so I guess I can put up with the mismatch. Before you tell me about the warranty…If you don’t have an original order number from them they won’t let you register your product let alone fix any problems. Product is good at keeping things cold, lids are 50/50 in my experience, customer service C+ as they were pleasant enough in howThey told me too bad for you.

I was thrilled to see that the replacement lid works great on my 12 oz Coldest water bottle. Wish there were more color options.
