Then there are the preowned ones. They are genuine, but may have scratches - on the scales or tools. The price may give it away - why are some sold for 20% less than others and 30% less than on the Victorinox website? I bought two SwissChamps - one from the SAK website. It was stolen by a co-worker. I later bought another here from Amazon for half what I paid before. The second was genuine, but slightly scratched, dirty and with fingerprints on the tools, but otherwise fine.
