**Q: Does this work with Directv dishes?**
A: yes it dose

**Q: Is this device waterproof?**
A: As far as I know, it looks like it's not waterproof, and the manual doesn't say anything about it being waterproof.

**Q: Will this work if lnb is bad?**
A: No, if the LNB is defective, there is no signal for the instrument to measure

**Q: Will this work with geostationary weather satellites**
A: I used this to position a Dish TV satellite disk that was mounted to a redwood deck. It worked perfectly. But you need to have the proper coordinates from the provider (in my case Dish). The finder just fine tunes the final position.

Works great. I have used far more expensive military and commercial grade signal meters. This is accurate and effective for a buyer on a budget. I was ET NUCLEAR SUB CORPS and also I'm a CNE (Certified Network Engineer) I can say as a professional this product is worth the money.
