i got a trashy one that only sort of works when i plug it in my sound system halfway, otherwise it has the ''tin can'' effect another reviewer mentioned and it only relays some sounds and completely silences othersfor example, if i play an online video game i can hear explosions and machine noises from the game, but voice chat and in-game voice lines are completely silent to medon't buy this

All the positive reviews are confusing, because this cable did not work for me. The 2.5mm jack on this cable has 3 rings, but in the image it's depicted as a TRS (tip, ring, sleeve). Yes, the locking mechanism works, but all audio came out with no low end — this is not acceptable. I had to return this cable.I'm still searching for a shorter cable for the KRK KNS 8400, because the one that comes with the headphones is too long for some situations. This is clearly not the one.

I don't know if I have received a bad cable or if the build is bad. I have to wiggle it in the headphone port and twist it halfway between locked and unlocked to get the sound right. It literally sounds like I have a string between 2 tin cans otherwise.
