I decided to purchase this because it was a years worth of gym membership for my wife and me. I got this at the same price as the Total Gym website, and received it in 3-days. If you're into Pallatees (probably misspelled), you can do that too. Easy adjustment levels for increasing weight or resistance. If you are a biginner start with the Beginner Exercises. The Exercise Manual is easy to follow. I am starting my second week. I have not done all the exercises because I am not ready. I started with arms and abs. This week I will incorperate legs. I am a little sore, but it is a good sore. This is better than my Total Gym 1700 that I purchased in 2007. I only had to replace the wheels on that one and gave it to my grandson. Now I don't have to travel to the gym in cold or hot weather, and I don't have to waste fuel.

Excellent piece of equipment that

It is pretty long so make sure you have the room for it. I am sore in places I did not expect. You can get a good workout. The ankle cuff will loosen up, so be aware. The squat stand is too short, so it is pretty much useless. I could buy a taller one if I wanted to pay $150. It really is already assembled when you get it. It takes longer to unpack it than it does to set up.

This machine is very quiet and exactly what they say. I have had a different brand, similar with the various attachments, but changed to this one. Yes if you want to do squats you will need the 'squat stand' which is larger. Since I need to keep my knee replacement bendable I need it but don't think it warrants 4 stars. It would be nice if they would offer it for an up-charge when ordering the maching
