       Hello! The volume and tone of the non-porous pickups will not affect the playing of the guitar, thank you! I wish you a happy life and happy every day!

**Q: does it require a battery? If so what kind?**
A: No it does not required any battery. It is a magnetic pickup that has 6 magnetic pickup one for each string. It is quite a good product and quite reasonable in cost. I am wavering on buying a second on for my next Acoustic, instead of taking it one and off from one guitar to the other.

**Q: Will it work with a 12 string guitar?**
A: Yes, it should work as as it does with a 6-string.

**Q: im working on a project electric guitar can i modify this to fit in the pickup cavity of an electric guitar? or will it not pick up on the vibration?**

       This pickup is used on an acoustic guitar. He can't be changed into an electric guitar pickup cavity. Because his circuit, coil and electric guitar are not matched, thank you for your question and wish you a happy life!
