One of the best iPhone Cases
I had been shopping for a good case for my iPhone since I purchased it in November. There are a lot of choices out there, but I really liked the look and design of the Speck cases. The problem came down to deciding which type of Speck case I wanted. I had been looking at the CandyShell black/peacock one for a long time. I love the color teal and really liked the case, but I was afraid that the slick candyShell case would make it too slippery and hard to hold on to. That and the cases were still pretty expensive. So I decided to wait a bit and I'm glad I did. During that time, Speck released a peacock/black version of their Grip case, which gives the stability of a hard shell with the softness and flexibility of a soft rubber case. I had a rubber case before just to protect it and it was really nice until it started stretching. That's not an issue with this case because of the hard shell, which makes the whole phone feel so much more substantial. That being said, this case doesn't add a lot of extra bulk or weight to the phone (which was one of my biggest issues with the otterbox and other cases like it). The rubber grips on the back definitely give it just enough grip to make it feel secure in your hand and on soft surfaces like the arm of a chair, or the seat of a car. That being said, there is one small issue I had with the case. When I was putting the phone in the case, the way my screen protector that I had on the back of the phone was lined up, it got caught by the case which pushed it up. I didn't notice it until about 15 minutes later and by that time, there was all sorts of dust stuck to the screen protector right near where my camera was. I cleaned it up as best I could and tried to put the case back on, but the screen protector kept getting caught and pushed up, leaving bubbles under the screen protector. I finally got some tape and cut it into thin strips to help hold the screen protector down.Speck recommends putting the top of the phone in first and then snapping the bottom in. Don't do it if you have a screen protector on the back of your phone. I finally figured out that the screen protector was being pushed up when I slid the top of my phone in (it was getting caught on the hard plastic ring around the camera cut out). Once I figured this out, I started putting the bottom in first and then snapping the top in. That kept the screen protector from being caught on anything. I still have the little pieces of tape there just in case, and I was able to get most of the dust out and most of the bubbles smoothed to the edge away from the camera lens. Just be careful when putting the phone in the case. I love it for it's stability, but that's part of what makes it a bit difficult to get the phone in and out (which is also a plus, really, but not so much when it messes up your screen protector). Just make sure that if you have a screen protector on the back (which I highly recommend because this case has a habit of picking up quite a bit of dust in it's nooks and crannies, the camera cut out being one of them), that you slide the bottom in and snap the top in. It should keep the protector from being caught on anything, though I'm not 100% sure because by the time I figured out what was going on, my screen protector had already been dislodged.Aside from that, I'm incredibly pleased with the case itself. I was a bit dubious of it because I saw no listing for a black/peacock Grip case on the speck website when I ordered it, but by the time it got here, Speck had added it to their product listing on their website. So if you're like me and you love the color teal, you want a case that is both hard and grippy, and you just think that the design of this case looks really awesome and edgy, then I say don't hesitate to purchase. Just be mindful of your screen protectors on the back if you do!

Overall great case if you don't need to remove it often (iP 4)
I am now replacing my second CandyShell Grip for the iPhone 4. The first one (white w/ black grips, purchased from "discountgeeks" through Amazon) held up amazingly. Loved that the grips helped keep the phone in my hands, but they weren't the sticky silicone that makes it hard to remove from pockets and attracts lint. I drop my phone a lot. A lot! And the CandyShell Grip has kept it safe (on all kinds of surfaces, it's even had liquid spilled on it a few times and been safe, although it's not marketed for that). I take my phone out of the case to put it in my armband for running/hiking and to attach my phone to a (non-Apple) speaker dock (headphones and chargers, also non-Apple, work great with it). I had my original grip for almost a year and I started to notice a few cracks in the hardshell at the corners, although the case still fit snugly. I know this is from the regular wear of using the corners to remove the case. I was very pleased for a year's worth of great protection and quality for the price! (My friend is actually now using my old one because she lost hers, and it's still holding up even with minor cracks.)I bought another one just like it only in purple. I had read some reviews online saying that there were some issues with counterfeit speck products being sold at various reputable sellers sites, so I purchased directly from Speck. My second case definitely had some material differences (slightly different textures/feel in the case materials), but fit and performed almost the same. I've had this 2nd case for about 7.5 months, and it has way more cracks (so many that it's starting to bow out around the front of the phone and feels a bit loose) and the thin plastic bar over the top of the charging port has snapped, only being held to the case by the rubberized overlay. I've dropped my phone as recently as yesterday and it was protected, but I'm looking for a new case now because the looseness around the front of the phone is worrisome. I'm going to get a different case because I will continue to use my phone in and out of the case (as described above) and don't want the case to crack as easily.Pros:Great lookGreat feel in handsGreat grip (using with one or both hands)Silicone texture doesn't "stick" to fabric or attract lint, but makes it non-slip on flat surfacesProtects all corners and keeps the front screen from contacting surfaces (when laying flat)Large keyhole opening for camera ensures no flash issues (halo, etc.)Works well with a standard screen protector (Even with all the off/on usage, I never had issues of the case causing the protector to peel up as suggested by others)Cons:Case isn't compatible with my speaker dock or armband, so I have to remove it regularly, which doesn't bother me, but:Case begins to show wear (cracks in hard plastic, to the point of becoming loose) with regular removal and continued useFlimsy thin piece over top of charging port *can* easily snap (only happened once out of 2 cases)The pros of this case definitely outweigh the cons, and all my cons are directly related to regularly taking the case on and off the phone. I am very rough on my phone and cases, so I'm still pleased with how long it's lasted and how well it's protected my phone.

Amazing case!
Bought two different phone cases at the same time, since I needed a replacement and iPhone 4/4s accessories are getting harder and harder to find.I didn't think I would like this case, as I'm used to plain styled cases but decided to give it a chance and am very glad I did.The case fits amazing, not loose and completely protects your phone. It has raised edges around the screen, as well as 4 spots that are raised even higher to add to the drop protection.Feels great in my hand, and very easy to hold with the grips on the back. It is a bit hard to take off, just because it fits the phone so perfectly. Highly recommend!Update-Have been using this case for a few days, and I’m noticing it’s kind of bulky. It does offer great drop protection though

Great Case!
This case shipped quickly and was in new original packaging. The color is spot on as seen online. Fits tight and all the buttons are easy to get at. No obstruction of camera. The rubber grips on the back are great! Does not slip around on the dashboard of the car. Does not fit on to a docking station but the adaptor cord fits in perfectly. I would highly recommend this case!

Protective case that is near perfect!
Speck Candyshell Grip case for iPhone 4/4s is as good as it gets! The case is really sturdy and feels like a high quality product when holding. This case definitely protects the iPhone really good. The phone doesn't move at all inside the case and the grip is good. I'm really happy with this product! The only minor downsides of the case are that the phone's power button is quite hard to press while the case is on and the backside rails collects quite a lot of lint and dust. Also in some parts of the case the black rubber has started to peal of just a tiny bit from the edges where the rubber meets the white plastic. All in all, I'm really pleased with the Speck CandyShell Grip case for iPhone 4/4s and I'm definitely planning to buy one similar for my upcoming iPhone 5 :)
