does the matching lunchbox fit inside this backpack?

It could, if need be. The backpack is a full size backpack. I bought this for a preschooler who won't have many books, so, the lunch box would fit in there nicely. However, if it is for a child who will have a number of books to bring home, I'm not sure if it will be enough room for everything.
