Excellent DIY replacement
Exact OEM replacement at a non OEM price. Very easy do it yourself replacement. It took longer to get all of the water out of the tank using a sponge than it did replacing the old fill valve.Easy to follow instructions aimed toward someone that’s never changed one of these, and they improved the overflow tube by adding a clip and an adjustment wheel to affect the fill level in the bowl.

American Standard is always redesigning their components
the new design of this float assembly may have been to correct intermittent leaking of an earlier design.It works well, and solved the leaking / running problem on a Champion 4 toilet which is one of the best toilet models available.

No, it is NOT the American Standard brand. It is fluidmaster. But I knew to expect that from the reviews. They do need to fix that. it fits my American Standard toilet and was easy to install and was cheap.

Easy installation!
This was a breeze for me. I took a picture of the tank to make sure everything would be oriented correctly when I installed the new valve. I took out the old valve and adjusted the new one to same exact length as the old. Reused the siphon tube, hooked everything back up and turned the water back on. Bingo, everything worked perfectly. Didn't even have to adjust the fill level. No more than a 20 minute job. The toilet is an American Standard 4339 4348. The 2 valves are pretty much identical and made by FluidMaster.
