Q: do i have to use the power supply

I use this Mic via my Razer Blade 2016 laptop without phantom Power. I use it plugged straight into my laptop via the 3mm plug. I have had no issues with sound levels.

Q: plugged it into a neewer nw-800 barely has power, with my recording levels set to max on my desktop?

NOTE: 1.The Condenser Microphone only works with the device that could provide enough power(Voltage Required:5V) for it. When connected with desktop computer, the Microphone could be used alone; When connected with laptop computer, please connect the laptop to electrical outlet, or use a 48V phantom power to get enough power if the sound is not clear and high enough. 2.If your device could not provide enough power(when used with Amplifier or Mixer, etc.), the sound volume recorded might be low, and please use a extra 48V phantom power adapter to connect it.(phantom power adapter is not included)

Q: would a behringer 302 usb mixer provide power for mic or do i still need a phantom power?

I own the 302, but not this mic. The 302 is reported to provide 15 volt phantom power on its XLR connection, while all of the higher Behringer mixer models (and most every phantom power source) seem to provide the full 48 volts. The specs on amazon state that the mic requires a minimum of 5v, but nearby in another sentence the manufacturer recommends using a 48v power source to ensure maximum performance; so, it's ambiguous what phantom power voltage minimum is actually required for great performance from this mic... :-/ Just note that your 302, while a good value on sale IMHO, is at a phantom power disadvantage for *some* XLR connected product which need the full 48v

Q: Just bought the NW-800 microphone and how will connect it to my Focusrite audio interface be i connects to my laptop.

It will connect, but just a forewarning, you cannot use the cable it came with to connect to an audio interface. Phantom power only works with XLR to XLR and the cable provided is XLR to 3.5mm, so that's no bueno. So just make sure you have a spare XLR to XLR cable or you will have to buy one.
