Super fun and incredibly stable, the Hobie Mirage Eclipse stand up paddle board is perfect for both advanced and beginner riders; it is also a great option for those who want to take fitness out of the gym and on to the water. The Eclipse's easy set up allows you to go from your car to the coastline in a flash. Rudder controls are located on the handlebars making steering a breeze. It features a kick-up rudder that allows you to keep your blade damage free even when the board is beached. Rear tie-downs and bungees offer the convenience of carrying a cooler, crate or any other necessities you may need for a day on the water. Poor quality, design and service
It is a fun product. That being said we have two 12 models. They are difficult to carry, they should have a handle on both ends. The finish is ultra delicate very easy to chip or scratch . It is basically a thin layer of paint over a styrofoam board . The paint has developed blisters on the bottom of the board. We contacted Hobie they told us it must have been in the water to long . They told us to what kind of paint to use. And that is the extent of their costumer support. Aren’t you supposed to use it in the water? Very poor customer service and design and forethought with the lack of handles and paint. I don’t think I would spent 6000$ On the pair if I had it to do over again.
