Does this work well on light or dark scars?

I don’t know, but I guess it works perfectly for both light and dark scars. It works great for my old dark scar.

Will this gel lighten my skin as well?

Not necessarily. For this reason it is better to spot apply it only on and around the scar only.

What % of allantoin is in the scar gel?

The pump itself lists 1% allantoin and 1% retinol on the side. Allantoin is third and retinol fourth in the list of ingredients after water and glycerin.

Positive 1st Impression

I've been using NUVADERMIS Scar Gel on my post-surgical incision, and my first impressions are very positive. It goes on smoothly, spreads easily, and doesn't sting or irritate my skin—even on a healing incision. It's still too early to comment on how well it minimizes scarring, but so far I'm very pleased with how comfortable and easy it is to use. I'll update my review after I've had more time to see the long-term results.
