I bought these for my parents house that is in transition from being empty to welcoming new folks. I wanted to brighten the house and show some holiday spirit for the neighborhood.We all need to do our best with stupid Covid. However, I didn't want to have to go into the house every day to turn off/on. (Hey I'm human I'm lazy and I miss my parents.) These lights are about at a briteness of 6.5 on a scale of 10 with the bulbs included. I think they would be brighter if bulbs switched to a regular night light bulb. However, I can tell you that they truly do turn on at dark and off at day light. I dont think there is much suction power to stay in place. However the cord is long enough to counter balance. Yes the price was a bit much, however when I drive by the house at night it warms my heart that EVERY SINGLE LIGHT IS LIT ...and when I drive in the morning every light is out. Buy them, they will make you happy! Plug in and they do the rest!

Value is good. Bulbs that come with the candles are fine, but we wanted to change from the standard clear white bulbs to blue LED bulds. The automatic on/off feature worked well with the standard filament style bulbs, but had a slight variation with the LED bulbs. As you can see in the first picture, the bulb would not shut off completely. The LED still had a slight glow to it during daylight hours. At night they turned on as they should, as you can see in the second picture. Lastly, only five of the six candles worked. The one, lone candle would not turn on at dark. Fortunately we had single candle to use as a replacement. Otherwise, we'd only have 5 windows with candles. Otherwise, overall, these are't bad for the money, provided they last. Only time will tell.

Like the on and off feature

These do exactly what I wanted, but they have a serious reliability problem. I have 30 windows, and to get that many working consistently is difficult. I have a box of roughly 15 of them that failed prematurely. None of them has ever blown the fuse included in the plug, and the failure mode is obviously complicated, as some of the non-working ones will light a lower power LED bulb, but not consistently. Be sure to try tightening the bulb if one fails, as sometimes there is a contact problem in the socket.

I needed 12 candles and so I bought 18 based on reviews that said some might not work. So far the first 12 I opened are going strong. I haven’t had any issues other than the fact that they are really light and tend to tip over, so I used painters tape to hold them on the window sills. I love not having to mess around with timers, batteries, or walking all over the house turning them on and off every day. The sensors work great... at dusk and dawn they don’t all necessarily go on and off at the same time, but that doesn’t bother me. I shopped all over and couldn’t get over how expensive window candles were so I figured these were worth a shot. I’m so pleased with them and especially the price, you really can’t beat it. Glad I still have six for future use.

We have been using these for a few years now and are very pleased with them. We have to tape them to the sill with a small piece of tape but that is sufficient. They work well, coming on at dusk or dark and turning off at daylight. The brightness is perfect. Overall, they do what we want at a reasonable price.

As many have indicated that some of these lights appear not to light up. What I found was that you have to really make sure that the bulbs are well seated into the socket. You might think that they're in with just finger tightness but go a little bit beyond that if they're not lighting and you'll get another half turn out of the bulb and they'll light up fine. Using these with LED C7 bulbs and they work great. Although at certain hours when it's not quite dark enough they'll flicker or if you have two of them closer together one will cause the other to flicker. But once it gets darker outside they'll be fine.
