Q: What is the shaft length diameter? Is it keyed and what is size of thread tap?

Crank size diameter 1 inch, length 3 and 5/32", and thread is 7/16 X 20. It is keyed.

Q: Will this Briggs engine bolt in to replace a Kohler courage 20 in a 10 year old Troy bronco ?

I bought this engine and put it on a Troy built mower and it quit before i ever finished mowing the first time I used it. It ran for about 1 hour and started knocking and before I could turn the switch off it locked up.It was still full of oil when it locked up .In my opinion this engine should not have ever been manufactured.I would never waste my money or time on buying this engine if I were you. It should fit fine but will it last??????? I don't think so. I think they have stopped making this engine and replaced it with a newer model.

It should bolt right in to any 100 series John Deere. I know the wiring harness plugs right into the 105, 110, 115.
