BANDAI Hobby - Gundam Build Fighters Try - #18 Build Burning Gundam, HGBF 1/144 Model Kit

Like most modern HGs, this kit is top of the line. The accuracy is even more remarkable than most HGs, due in large part to the relative simplicity of the colour scheme. It also comes with far more swappable hands than your average HG, and it is far more stable as well, attributable to its status as an unarmed unit. You can switch out the clear blue parts for reddish orange ones, a quick and painless process to say the least, and you can also attach an array of effect parts which, combined with how incredibly stable this kit is, allow for some very dynamic and dramatic poses, even without an action base. I can recommend this kit with a sound mind to anyone, regardless of skill level. Even if you haven't seen Build Fighters Try, you're going to love this kit--and that's a personal guarantee. There was one problem, though it seems to have been a defect with my kit in particular, as the entire polycap runner showed signs of severe warping.. The shoulder joints are incredibly weak, and moving the arms at all causes them to pop out of socket--and as well, there is a visible gap between the shoulders and the rest of the kit. This is a problem for me... Made even worse is the fact that Bluefin Distribution has temporarily stopped delivering replacement parts for gunpla at the time of this review, so my only choice was to buy another Build Burning and use it for spare parts. Thankfully, I have some plans for the rest of it, but it's still something I would've rather not had to do. So, buyer beware: If your kit has defects, Bluefin will no longer give you replacements.

I have a lot of gunpla (gundam plastic models) and they're all HG. The HG Build Burning Gundam is one of my favorite gunplas that has been released so far. It can pull off extreme poses, has great articulation, and one of the best parts: it comes with so many multiple hands!! For someone who only collects HG models, MOST kits (not all) only come with two holding hands and one open hand (typically the left hand). This kit comes with 2 fists, 2 holding hands, 2 karate chop hands, 2 open hands, and 2 burning firsts. Lemme list all the pros and cons for ya PROS: -LOTS OF HANDS FOR POSES -GREAT ARTICULATION (almost as good as the 00) -Comes with flame effect parts to pull off amazing fighting moves -It is an original kit, so every runner is new -not too many stickers either! -has some unique customization options CONS: -Two parts tend to always pop out and can get annoying sometimes: The shoulder to torso and the elbow armor. -no weapons, just physical attacks (it can be a pro, but I consider a con since most people would like a sword or a gun at least) OVERALL: -if you're getting into gunpla, I believe this is a great kit to add to your collection. I'm not saying it should be your first though because if you get this, then there aren't that many kits that'll make you as happy and has great articulation as this kit. I do definitely recommend to pick this up eventually! If you're looking for a gunpla that can pull off poses like Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, or anyone else that's into martial arts then THIS IS YOUR KIT.

One of my most favorite anime shows of all time. I've been wanting to get this kit for a long time and cannot wait to finish putting it together! Really happy about it for the price and looks easy to put together in 2 hours or so.

The Build Burning surpasses any High Grade Gunpla I've build so far. It's balance is on point, and can perform quite a lot of ridiculous moves that usual HG can't. Those articulations are thanks to having absolutely no weapon attachments. However, it comes with fiery orange clear parts to recreate Build Burning's Jigen Haoh Techniques. It's great for posing, but it's a bit confusing when panel lining of where to, or where not to. Definitely looking forward to Try Burning Gundam. If you want a cheap HG, this is the simplest (except for 1/144 HG High Mock) to build for a beginner.

A nice kit. Looks good right out of the box, didn't have to paint much. Just lined the panels. The only complaints I have are that the arms fall off easily and the backpack is on a slide instead of pegs, which means it can just slide right off the back of the kit if you turn it upside down. Other than that though it's a really nice kit, and you get a ton of effects with it, and five sets of hands. If you're a fan of the show you'll probably like this kit.

I was amazed by the details packed into this small 1/144 kit! It doesn't require much paint, or panel lining work! Now when you construct the head, you will need to take a very small black or grey marker to panel line the grooves on the mouthpiece and the holes on the sides of the face. The ankle armor also can use panel lining to show the holes there. Otherwise, you are given stickers for the small grey pieces on top of the feet, and stickers for the vents on the back of the legs. You can use a toothpick, pin, or tweezers to help you place these stickers since they are so small. If you prefer paint, like I do, then go for it since the stickers can wear off with time. I plan to paint the areas with stickers later. You get blue and orange pieces to show the flaming feature seen in the anime. It comes with flame pieces for the feet, arms, and back of the gundam. Although you can twist the flames for the back to form the wing like Phoenix Attack, the flames given really don't do this move justice as shown in the anime. It would have been cool if they'd made separate pieces in the shape of wings to emulate this. Maybe Bandai will make an extra part sold separately or do something in a Master Grade release? I sure hope so. The gundam is fairly pose-able. The white elbow pieces that wrap around the blue/orange lights, can fall off easily. Overall, I love this kit!!! I am excite to see future releases of this gundam in a higher scale!

Build Burning is awesome! The build was fun and not too long, the MS is highly articulated, the different hand options are dynamic, the affect parts are fun to mess around with, and I think it would be a great base MS for customization. And the manual confirms that it's based off of the God Gundam from G Gundam, which is my favorite Gundam ever. I recommend this kit to anyone who likes it's overall design and wants to enjoy a truly great model kit.

The model itself is a great model but this is the first time I've ever recieved my item in such terrible conditions . The box was not sealed but taped....it was crushed and also torn a bit on the side, and what kinda sucks is that many pieces fell off their frames and we're loose in the box and I'm missing two thigh pieces.

Reçu très rapidement (en seulement 5 jours), très bon gunpla à monter, pris beaucoup de plaisir à le faire. Le gunpla est beau, et de très bonnes articulations surtout celle des mains qui sont encore meilleures que celles de mes autres gunpla. Je le recommande !

This is my first Gundam Kit or any other Model Kit. I have built small toys/kits when I was quite young but this is really worth it. It's the perfect kit to start, sure the arm pops out quite often while posing but that isn't really a problem for me. Articulation is great, number of accessories with the kit is amazing. Overall it's a perfect kit for beginners. I got the product from the seller: AST Japan. They gave a 3-4 weeks estimate of arrival but I got the product by the end of 2nd week. So, kudos to them as well.
