Perfect 3D ISO solution
Awesome device, and the best solution at the time of writing to play 3d bluray ISO files to my active 3D TV in full high definition, with no loss in quality that you get with converted side-by-side or over-and-under 3D MKV files. If preserving picture quality is top of your list, then this is the perfect solution. Added bonus of internal hard drive means I can store close to 100 full ISO files with a 4tb drive.

Excellent replacement for the Popcorn Hour
Excellent bit of kit - worked straight out of the box. My Popcorn Hour died after years of great service but I wasn't really keen on spending the same money on a replacement. This does everything and more for half the price.

Works great and Easy setup
It was easy to setup with my WD mycloud drive on my network, the remote is nice quality and it plays my MKV and ISO files created from DVDs, even plays files from my Humax, it will play other files too, but that's all I have tried,

Fantastic User Friendly Movie JukeBox
Only had a short time to play with it but overall rather impressed. Struggled at first with lip synch and video problems then discovered the box doesn't play nice with m4v format files (so dropped a star). I switched to MKV and all the problems disappeared. if you have large files (15Gb+) and are accessing them over a network make sure you use the NFS format as the default Samba format is a little slower and struggles. I bought the 800 instead of the 600 so I had the option of storing files on the box in case of network issues, doesn't look like I'll need it (gigabit network) but will be dependant on your network. Easy to use and I love the Movie Jukebox, so much better for my wife and kids than navigating through the folder structure my PS3 currently presents them. I bought this box in particular because I wanted to be able to stream HD movies with HD 7.1 sound, few other boxes seem to do it, the 800X3D did it without a problem. Purchased from my-HTPC via Amazon and more than happy with their service as well.

Not for the Audiophile (or Faint Hearted)
I bought this unit primarily to play my existing mp3 and FLAC music collection from an internal hard drive to avoid having to have the PC, with its noisy fans, or the TV, on. I was also hoping to start buying albums in hi-resolution FLAC format instead of CD. However, the device has failed in all respects. Firstly, it does make a noise - both the fan and the hard drive (a high quality NAS drive) - can clearly be heard. It will only play or display FLAC files in jukebox mode (the alternative is folder structure without search facility) if they've been specifically tagged and processed using no less than two software applications which have to be downloaded to the PC. Furthermore, the recommended M8 Android app, which was essential for me to use this device without the TV being on, is hopelessly unreliable and its playlist function - when it works - too basic. I've tried other apps recommended in the mede8er forum and they only access the root folder structure which doesn't provide search functions or even display the artist name with the track title. So, after days of wasted time trying to get this thing to do what it says on the tin, I'm throwing in the towel and returning it to buy a nice (silent) Denon network music player which I'll run from a PC/server in another room. Oh, and some of my JPEG pictures and video files don't work either. Have a look at the forum, it's absolutely full of questions about incompatibility, with incomprehensible technical responses and suggested workarounds. Fine for some but, for me, life is too short.

I bought it for Home Cinema, but i could work it correct, because if you have one think that it is not compatible with 3D, it will not work correct, thanks to Amazon, I return it back. becarefull before you buy it.

Mediocre 3D experience
Plays regular Bluray content with no issues however, 3D movies appear to be a challenge. There is an unacceptable level of โghostingโ and the 3D subtitles appear a little smudged when showing against a dark/black background. Sometimes during a 3D movie the depth of the picture would start to vary as if the player is trying to adjust it. I experimented with various player /TV (Samsung UE65-6400AW) settings, tried different firmware versions with no success. I also own a Dune HD Base 3D player which provides better 3D experience albeit without 3D subtitles, when compared to Mede8er MED800X3D.
