The tops are sturdier for folding down, the backpack straps are much more comfortable than the single strap and it appears that the black straps are now sewn on at the ends rather than just "welded" to the plastic. I have noticed on the old ones that the straps are peeling off wherever they are stressed from carrying. Excellent bag at a very reasonable price. The medium size holds a sleeping bag, small sheet and pillow and keeps it nice and dry. Smaller size good for a day pack in the rain to keep phone and papers dry. Love them! Love these bags!
Arrived just in time for a rainy Girl Scout camping trip this past weekend. I have the earlier version of these bags as well and this one is a great improvement. Great waterproof bag for a beach holiday
We bought this bag to store essentials (towels, docs, money etc) and keep them from getting wet, when using boats, and doing water travel. So we used it on our trip to Croatia. Does what it was designed to do.
I have an older kayak small a storage area and not only does this bag fit perfectly, it more importantly does what is was designed to do - keep everything dry. I got the orange one does if it does end up in the water ITV would be easy to spot. Just the right size for the camera, a couple water bottles, some sandwiches and a couple snacks.

Great product
This bag has been used on a kayak in the bay and on a fishing boat 30 miles out in the gulf. It works beautifully.

Perfect for the lake.
I use this bag when I take my kayak to the lake. My friends and I paddle out to a quiet beach and I don't like to take a regular backpack. This dry bag works really well. It rolls down from the top to keep my stuff safe and dry, while being light-weight. Mine is bright orange and really durable, which is a bonus, and it is big enough for everything I need for a day.
