Feels like a long sleeve cotton t-shirt. Being wool it's warmer than cotton of course. It will be a nice second layer for backpacking, worn over a wicking t shirt and under a fleece and wind/rain shell as part of a full cool weather system. This is my first wool shirt that's not a sweater and I'm impressed by the quality.

Nice shirt
This shirt is comfortable. It is long enough that it stays tucked-in. I have washed it several times so far with no problems.

Warm but too thin
I really enjoy how warm this product is and it works really well as a base layer. The problem is it is the fabric is too thin and I can clearly see my nipples through the fabric meaning that I need to wear an undershed underneath so this products cannot be worn on its own. I'm incredibly impressed with the thermal properties despite this
