I ordered a bunch of stuff for a family reunion. It all showed up around the same time. I recognized everything I ordered except this unique exotic box. As I carefully opened it, I was impressed at every step to get down to the real deal. When I lifted the final lid, and saw the belt, coiled tightly, and the buckle, separately presented, I knew this was no ordinary belt.This belt is by far the best belt I've ever owned. I am large (okay, I'm fat), and being able to adjust the length right down to the inch, over a range of more than a foot, makes choosing the waist size easy.I can't attest to it's durability until I've worn it for a few years, but I predict is will outdo my expectations. It is a quality product.And the look? Classy. Simple buckle front that says "I don't really need an emblem or symbol to tell you I'm here". And the clasp mechanism is solid and sure, but easy to unlatch when you really need to go!The comparable Amazon belt offers were attractive too, and only slightly more expensive. But the Marino belt is a much better offer. The belt and buckle are made of top notch materials.I saved the box it came packaged in, expecting to coil the belt up and break the buckle down to return them to their original presentation look after every "party". I like the quality and price. I like this Marino Men’s Genuine Leather Ratchet Dress Belt because it looks very good when I dress to go out. What I like the most is the I can adjust the belt as thigh or as loose I want. So if I eat a little to much I can easily loosen the belt a little

I've ordered this type of belt from one of their competitors, which lasted me almost 3 years until the ratchet mechanism recently broke. This one looks to be of similar build and quality. Mostly.As you can see on the photos, the design on the buckle was damaged upon arrival, which is strange because I can't imagine any way the shipping process itself would do that.Upon inspecting it, I could see that the material is made from is some sort of soft rubber-like composite, but definitely not as durable. I tested this out simply by softly pressing my fingernail into it (on the edge, where any further damage couldn't be noticed), and saw that the imprint from don't stop made a debt similar to the ones in the photographs.My guess is that in someone handled the buckle poorly in the packaging process, or maybe it dropped at some point, causing the dents and the tear you see near the corner.It's too bad, because I really like this design, but my guess is that the design on the buckle wouldn't have lasted long anyhow, considering how easily it can be damaged.My advice: if your looking for something stylish and you take good care of your belts, then it might be worth getting this. Just don't ever drop it and accidentally scratch it. It WILL tear. But if you don't really care about the design and just need a belt, go for it. These ratchet-type belts are super easy to use and their adjustability makes them an easy choice.I'm going to contact the seller, fyi, and update my review depending on their customer service.

Excellent belt, took awhile to find one. Like everyone else, you go through various types of belts. I was not content with the present belt I was using so the search was on. I came across this ratchet leather belt on Amazon and decided to give it a try. After checking your waist size you need to cut to the required length and light the end (lighter to clean and seal cut). Excellent ratchet system for sliding on and releasing. No adjusting holes makes it stand apart from the conventional belt. Black leather looks great with my work uniform and really comfortable. A well recommended product.

The belt isn't genuine leather and the ratchet mechanism constantly releases by itself. The presentation and packaging is of a very high standard, however the actual belt and ratchet mechanism are not. Don't be fooled. Save your money.

What a great idea! No more belt holes, no more stretched belts. These are very classy looking and so easy to adjust to size. Never going back to a belt with holes again.
