Granite Ware Coffee Percolator, 2 Quart, Blue

Good set we like it but one small flaw.......they say in the description that the basket assembly inside the coffee pot is a very thin gauge of aluminum to reduce the weight of the pot and that is fine but two things wrong with this. First off the base that sits on the bottom of the coffee pot that has the tube going up through the basket attached to it bent very easily in our dishwasher. I bent it back but can see it bending again somehow where eventually it will crack at the joint. Amazon provided no place for me to go to contact the vendor so tried the returns avenue and that was messed up and didnt suit my needs. We like the pot and cups but am concerned about the tube assembly where the tube is attached to the bottom disc. I would like to see if they would send me another one just in case. This item was pretty expensive for what it is so dont think we should have something like this happen and......amazon should have something to where I could contact whoever would be handling getting me just a small part to the item rather than having me send the whole thing back and wasting everyones time including mine. Just need another tube assembly and I would gladly give 5 stars. One other thing I forgot to add..........these are metal core cups and percolator covered with a hard coating. When you pour a cup of hot coffee, make sure you use an oven mitten or something like it. Also the handles on the cup get hot when hot coffee is poured into them. The lid on the coffee pot does not latch so use precaution and hold the lid down while pouring coffee especially the last of the coffee in the pot.UPDATEI called customer service about my concerns and they took care of us right away answering questions as well. [email protected] update December 2nd 2019, we have been using the set for a few weeks now and really like it. Heats up much faster than and electric coffee pot and you can take it anywhere to cook on any heat source within reason. I think this will last us highly recommend.

I like the "colors and shape" of this - and so I purchased it to hold utensils on the counter. I was happy to see that the lid was attached - as it is very pretty. It is a percolator - though I have not used it as such. Nostalgia too makes it attractive - though my mother's was aqua in color and had a different shape. Probably would not have held as many utensils though. I dislike many of the "canister" utensil holders - they remind me of a "clinical look" of the cotton ball and cotton swab holders in doctor's offices - and they look too "sterile" and my kitchen is not the "white look" that some designers favor. My kitchen counter space is limited - so I like objects that are functional and beautiful.

Overall, I like it. It makes good coffee. I bought it primarily to make cowboy coffee (slowly boiling coffee in the pot for at least 5 minutes). It would be a 5 star review, save for the fact that the little plastic top doesn’t fit properly in the lid after about a week of use. I hand washed only and nothing looks warped, so I’m guessing the lid was just out of spec. Can’t speak to the quality of the percolator, since I don’t use it, but it is aluminum and that’s not ideal.

This is a great little coffee pot. Only problem is the Percolator cap on the lid melts eventually.

Good for making coffee. Inside tube is a little flimsy looking, so be careful not to bend/snap/break it when washing it out. Works like a charm though!

Love the color. Works well for camping or RVs where you would rather not use or cannot use a coffee pot.

I was so excited to use this but after the 3rd time I would not recommend. First of all the inside basket is too small because of this the lid to the basket moves up and allows me to make numerous cups of coffee grounds, the basket is also made of aluminum which was not part of the description...The handle also gets extremely hot. The spout for pouring is so poorly made allowing the coffee(and grounds) to splash everywhere when attempting to pour. Once again very very poor value and cheaply made.

Coffee pot will come in handy when the power goes out since I now have a gas stove and I like the smell of the coffee brewing

Coffee pot spout is welded on not made by molding top edge of coffee pot to form spout, therefore, when you pour the coffee it runs out the spout as well as out from under the lid on the pot which just sits on top and does not fit tight. The basket sits too low on stem so you get less coffee and because the basket lid does not fit snug, when you pour coffee it runs through the basket depositing coffee grounds in your cup. I am really not impressed with this coffee percolator but it does work on an induction stovetop.

The coffee pot will definitely outlast the stem and basket that are supplied. I was pleased that it works with my induction cooktop.

Very nice looking product. The handle however gets extremely hot. Make sure to handle carefully. Otherwise I quite enjoy it.

The percolator works great. We bought it for the camper because of it's stable wide base and sits easily on the cook stove. I will probably make a 2 piece wooden handle to fit over the existing metal one as it gets really hot while brewing.

flimsy but the best I found to meet my requirements, and superior to some othersIt came almost before I ordered it, also!!! amazing;It was packed wellI am completely satisfied
