Best French workbook I've seen, and I'm a language teacher
Instructions in simple French (easy to understand) and lots of pattern drills, paired with companion vocabulary and communication workbooks, these are great. CDs included with each workbook, too. I teach German and studied Spanish, and am just learning French.

Very comprehensive and easy to use. Many exercises. Clear explanations but lean more towards practice than towards excessive grammar.

No answers provided for exercises?
Bonjour à tous! I bought this book and I've been working my way through it. It's becoming increasing a little frustrating that there are no answers provided for what is largely an exercise book. There is a CD included which provides some very nice 1 minute audio stories for practicing your dictee, but again, no corresponding translation provided. And there is a website provided which I've had trouble logging into. This product overall seems to be designed for a domestic French audience and not really for native English speakers looking to learn French from that perspective. The lack of answers to exercises in the workbook seems like a glaring omission in what is otherwise a very comprehensive grammar review so it's a shame they didn't go a step further.

book is great hiwever its good description did not indicate that the workbook was COMPLETELY FILLED IN! maybe good means not soiled with coffee?

Half of a book. No answer key.
Apparently you have to purchase a separate answer key book. Without it, every single exercise in this book is worthless. What a scam. Update: This is the 4th edition. You can buy the 3rd edition (for less) and easily find the answer key online for free.

So usefull for practicing the A2-B1 levels, it has a lot of explanations at the beginning of each chapter, and the exercises felt quite well, nothing complicated. I recommend it.

フランス語を勉強している人のブログで紹介されていたり、こちらでの評価も良かったので買ったが、載っている問題に、自由に書くのもが多数あり(自分のバッグの中身を書け等)、語学学校に行ってるならいいが、独学だと答えが確認できない。 また、別売りの解答集が1600円以上もするのに、テキストの問題と合っていない。問題が5つあるのに答えが4つしか無かったり、明らかに問題にない答えが載っていたり。 わざわざ解答を別売りにして総額5500円くらい。 字がにじんでいたり、中身がよれていたり。 高い買い物だった。

Standard book. Clear lessons and exercises. Not suitable for absolute beginners but useful if you already know the basics.
