I’ve been really enjoying this bird feeder so far! The camera quality is surprisingly clear, and I love being able to see birds up close right from my phone. The app is easy to use, and the AI feature that identifies bird species is such a cool bonus. The solar panel is a huge plus because I don’t have to worry about constantly charging it, and it’s been working well outdoors. It’s also really fun to check throughout the day and see what birds have visited. Setup was pretty straightforward and didn’t take long to get everything running. Overall, it’s a great mix of tech and nature and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys birdwatching or just wants something unique for their backyard!

Bought as a late X-mas present for myself. Worked okay for about a week, but noticed the solar charger didn’t seem to be charging the video - I would have to frequently charge unit myself. Did capture about 80% activity at the feeder when working. Figured because it was cold winter that might have just been draining the battery so waited until it was warmer to talk with customer service. Followed directions to take feeder in during extreme cold. Well, now it is summer… contacted customer support and over a two week span they have not done anything to resolve. The camera died for a whole month (8% charge held then 0) and I was unable to reboot or get to charge. Three days ago it came back online, but the app is not making postcards of the birds coming to the feeder any longer. Because the camera came online, what I can only assume is their AI customer support has assumed the issue is resolved - it’s not. Repeatedly contacted customer support, done all the reboots and trouble shooting. It’s an on going battery issue and the solar charger definitely is not working. I pay for the Bird Buddy Pro, they gave me one month credit back but I’m well into the second month of nothing. If you do get this, the triangle hanging piece is not super sturdy and I’d recommend the pole. But personally, you’re best getting a different brand. Was going to get the hummingbird feeder if things resolved and they swapped the non-working product. But I’ve really been put off to the whole thing with Bird Buddy. If things change I’ll update.

Excellent camera! We had birds on our birdbuddy within minutes, I'm sure because we replaced another bird feeder with this one. The pictures are clear, excellent videos, easy to setup with the app. But I do have several issues that are very disappointing! This was one of the most expensive bird cameras that are available, and I would expect more available options without having to subscribe to an expensive subscription. My biggest complaint is that 2 people in the same household can't Livestream at the same time without a subscription! Ridiculous. The two of us should be able to log onto the live stream at the same time without one of us being booted off. And the 2 of you can only get to it at all if you're signed into the app using the same username and password. The other option is to invite a family member, that would create their own account, but you will not be live streaming without an expensive subscription. This is set up to be the only way to have more than 1 Livestream at a time. There are a lot of other enhancements available with a subscription that you can't use without one. I know this may sound petty, but I can say it's more aggravating than you may think, especially considering the price point of the unit compared to others. I'm considering sending it back and ordering a different cheaper unit that is more user friendly. Update: I think I need to end this review on a positive note. We enjoy the birdbuddy! I found that my wife and I are unlikely to stream at the same time anyway, do is only been an issue a couple times. Overall, we're enjoying it! We decided to keep it.

I am so excited to use this feeder! It is solar powered, syncs directly to our Amazon echo devices, and offers such a unique experience. It came packaged well and securely. This is a really good bird feeder and camera, also really easy to set up. The AI for identifying species is also pretty good. It took a couple of days for the. It’s to work out where it was, but now we have lots of daily visitors we can view and identify!
