Amazing for underdrawing
I love these colored leads! These are great for underdrawing or sketching, and perfect for lineless watercolor or alcohol marker techniques! Both the leads and the pencils are great- the pencils are inexpensive, but fairly sturdy, and can take a lot of abuse.

Love them
This is perfect if you teacher doesn't let you use colored pens. They are easy to breake to just be careful when putting them in your pencil when there in they don't breake. Erase if is easy and color is pretty.

Really beautiful colors!
These are a bit easier to erase than ACTUAL colored pencils, which is a big plus! It's not completely erasable though. The yellow is a little light and hard to see sometimes but other than that, I really love these colors and how they feel when coloring/drawing.also shameless plug go follow my insta so you can see more of my art :) @void_of.art

Use a light relaxed hand and you should be fine!
I've used these for art sketching and after about two weeks am ready to review! I love this lead! I personally haven't experienced any breakage, but then again I only use these to lightly sketch drawings out. If you're heavy handed and use a lot of pressure when you draw/write, try and relax your wrist a bit. With that said, I wouldn't use these like you would colored pencils. If you use mechanical pencils more than regular #2 pencils, you'll understand what I mean by that. If you'd like thicker lead, there are brands that make colored #2 pencils. As for the colors themselves, I've only used one lead of pink and one lead of purple so far (I only put one color piece of lead in at a time) and so far the colors show up well against the paper. For the light light colors, it'd probably be best to use tan sketch paper with them instead.

This lead is fantastic. I use it with the Uni Kuru Toga ...
This lead is fantastic. I use it with the Uni Kuru Toga pencil because I feel it increases the longevity of the lead (regardless of brand). This lead is pretty saturated for it being mechanical pencil lead. Obviously it isn't going to "glow" off of a blank white page, but it definitely shows up, and if you contrast one color with another, it will make your art/writing "leap off the page". It doesn't leave a waxy film that some colored lead does, nor does it smear very easily with your hand rubbing over it like traditional lead would, so you don't have the mess of a lost drawing/illegible writing from just moving pages around. That's not to say you can't smudge it, it is just more difficult to do so without something to smudge it with besides your skin/papers rubbing together. It is possible to get a gradient effect in terms of saturation depending on how hard you press, but unless you use other colors, there isn't much in the ways of value, unless you're going for a monochromatic look... But that shouldn't really be a problem, because this pack comes with a rainbow of colors to choose from. Also, for any concerned, the case is a very durable plastic that keeps the lead rather safe, even if accidentally dropped/knocked off a desk. Definitely worth the coin because it's a pretty great quality art item.

No more sharpening pencils!!!!
The pencil "lead" is a bit waxy. It overlays nice, though after some buildup I did notice that it was hard to add any more color. However, not having to sharpen my pencil to maintain a point makes these well worth the purchase. They do not break any easier than any other mechanical pencil "lead". It's a nice range of colors, too. Overall, I am quite pleased with them. I would like to see black & white leads added to the collection, however.

MY pack (anyway) Very Brittle
I don't write many reviews and, in any case, Pilot products are generally first-rate. But these colored pencil leads are definitely Not. Idk if I received an old pack (having endured extreme temp fluctuations) or what, but regardless which quality pencil (e.g. uni KURU TOGA, Rotring, etc.) I put the leads in (and regardless of which color), each lead uniformly cracked – in multiple places no less – immediately, as soon as ANY pressure at all was applied. 'Twas literally impossible to write with them, so I threw them out. LESSON: If there is a 2021 version of Neox colored 0.7mm leads, it seems highly advisable to go with the very latest version, or else perhaps try the (much less well-rated) brand Jovitic, or even – oh dear, desperation now – Papermate products!

Eno Colored Pencil Refills are REMARKABLY User Friendly
I wish all brand of colored pencils came like this product. This product allows me to build on opaque layering with the greatest of ease, I was amazed. The brightness and versatility in these pencils and the refills is just remarkable. I'm in love with this product. Strongly recommend it and if you get the actual mechanical pencils, I'm telling its worth the cost because this brand specifically is NOT carried in stores. Papermate has its own line but they only offer 6 lead refills in their refill packs. Pilot does not. They came in their refill boxes with a tape to keep the lid sealed...little did I know it keeps the lead refills fresh and remarkably vibrant! And this picture of my state flag and state flower...was just a test run.
