... my Paul Components Chain Keeper with this and I like it better
I replaced my Paul Components Chain Keeper with this and I like it better. The Paul one is an excellent product, but it got bent somehow while locked, leaving my bike intact. It's a mystery. Anyway, I'm familiar with delrin as a material and was interested in trying something that would be quieter and more slippery against my chain if/when it ever rubbed. My bike is a 1x10 making it difficult to adjust the Paul Keeper so that it never rubbed. Even if I got it just right, a change in temperature would be enough for it to start rubbing again. Just a touch, but it's annoying, particularly when you spend a lot of energy on a wicked custom bike. While quieter, this product had the same rubbing issue, in fact it was worse. It's not even rated for the width of a 1x10. However, I easily filed the interior to fit and if it ever rubs, I don't hear/feel it anymore. It's a little big, but functionally superior to anything I have tried, including dog fangs and the like. Highly recommended.

Know your application
Passable quality but not usable for a gas bike with a large mounting plate

Many points of adjustment = many points of failure
This device can be adjusted to fit just about any chain line, which is good. I had problems with the shock on a Giant Anthem interfering with the fit, but I fixed that with a Dremel tool. The problem is that the device rattles itself to pieces every time I use it on rugged terrain. I've spent weeks taking it apart, applying, loc-tite, and reassembling it, but I finally gave up.

It works.

I will recomend it
Not so hard to install and adjust, once you set it well it will not move, tested in XC, seems very good and stays in place

Worth It.
This thing is money. I've tried Paul's solution to no avail. This Origin8 chain guide is light, stiff, and has many adjustment points so you can get the guide where it needs to be for your bike.I put it on an older 1 Ring x 8 speed cassette rig and was able to get the guide wide enough (so the chain didn't rub) with a couple of washers from the hardware store. No chain jumps!I love this thing. Its a tad pricy, but with nothing else out there that works this good, it is worth it.
