Very accurate moldings. Some minor fit problems. Instructions are missing for parts that are in kit. I just started putting stuff places that looked like they belonged. For the advanced modeler. Patience with this one.

A beautiful kit of what my Navy grandfather called the ugliest plane.
It's more complicated than the average plane, but I was extremely satisfied with the way it turned out. Painting it was the real challenge, and you'll have better results if you build some parts out of order from the instructions. 1/48スケール唯一のカタリナ飛行艇のキットで、元は20数年前に登場した旧モノグラムの金型製品です。 アメリカレベルから発売されているキットと同一のもので、かつてはハセガワブランドで売られていた事もありました。 キットの出来は素晴らしく、プロポーション、ディテール共に良好な決定版キットですが、かなりの大型モデルなので、事前の製作及び展示スペースの確保は必須です。 マーキングは戦後のものが二種入っていますが、WWⅡのマーキングを作るには別途デカールの調達が必要です。
