Cute story
My almost 5 year old daughter is a huge Descendants fan. She also loves pirates and her initials happen to be CJ (she even kind of looks like CJ Hook) so I thought this book would be perfect for her. She does love it and my husband and I have read it to her at least 5 times now. She loves Mal and was hoping to hear more about her but she's hardly mentioned in the story. Nevertheless it's a fun story, very kid-friendly, adventurous without any scariness, and a decent moral. Now I'll be investing in several more Descendants books I'm sure!

Unique Adventurous!
I really don't like reading about stories with pirate adventures. But it was the character CJ who is funny and rude really brought out the story! I like the friendship chemistry her and Freddie had! Overall I like the story and the world!
