Great flavor, seems like good quality, at a great price for organic for the amount. Easy pouring. We don't cook with olive oil, but use it for making salad dressings or adding to dishes once cooked for flavor ect.

I have been using Pompeian Smooth Extra Virgin Olive Oil Contains Polyphenols First Cold Pressed for years and it stands out as one of the most reliable and tasty options I keep coming back to especially for everyday family cooking. This oil is truly versatile and consistently good. It works perfectly for sauteing roasting grilling drizzling on salads dipping with bread or even finishing dishes. The smooth mild flavor profile has a nice fruity note with just enough peppery kick from the polyphenols without being overly bitter or harsh like some stronger EVOOs can get. It holds up well under medium high heat for cooking (first cold pressed means quality extraction) and it never leaves that burnt or off taste you sometimes get with cheaper oils. When I serve food to family or friends using this one I never worry about the flavor letting me down it always delivers a clean delicious result. What I love most is the reliability. I have picked up different brands from HomeGoods TJ Maxx Marshalls and discount spots over the years and the quality varies so much some bottles taste flat rancid or just meh even if labeled EVOO. Pompeian Smooth stays solid batch after batch with that fresh good taste and the polyphenols add a bonus for health benefits without changing the everyday usability.

I got the Robust to try out, and I'm not disappointed. It has slightly more olive-oil flavor than standard olive oil, not overwhelming. I use it in pasta dishes and making hummas,perfect. A sturdy plastic bottle, and a stong top to it, no problems there like I've had with other brands. On top of that it is very competitive a price, way under other premium olive oil, so I'm happy. I even bought the bigger 48oz size, as I'm using more olive oil to my recipes, it's so good, and I don't want to run out. I also really like the Certified Organic part, making it more reliable to eat, but without the much higher price of other brands of organic olive oil. Plus it is a long-time reliable go-to brand for me. It pours easily with that nice olive oil type insert to pour smoothly like most quality brands have. I didn't have any leakage in getting it to me, as they taped up the top real good. Tastes great, highest quality, low low price,, I'm a happy camper. And I like the fact that I got about a year on the expiration date, and also, that it was 5-10bucks cheaper than other big stores for the 48 oz version, esp. when on sale.

I ordered this not expecting a lot because it’s a cheaper “supermarket” brand and not well recommended online. I was just going to use it for sautéing and cooking. Anyway, I thought I would try a spoonful to see how it tasted. I was pleasantly surprised by the aroma and the peppery taste in the back of my throat that typically are hallmarks of genuine extra virgin olive oil highly indicative of polyphenols, much more so than the more expensive Atlas brand that is highly recommended but turns out in my experience may not be pure EVOO.

The flavour is "robust" but not over-whelming. Tastes fresh. Price is comparatively better than the "top shelf" brand available at my local market, considering quality, flavour and quantity. From frying to using as a simple dressing, it's the "must have" in the pantry.

Like an inexpensive bottle of 93-point wine, Pompeian's Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a bargain indulgence of the first order, and a best-in-class olive oil at this astonishing price -- I find no reason to overpay for anything else. With olive oil, consuming it in its raw, uncooked state best reveals its character: I put this over tuna with dashes of hot sauce, and it shines. It even finds its way into our savory ice creams (rosemary, olive oil, and honey recipe below). The flavor is paradoxically deep but with a light mouthfeel and robust olive profile. It's also consistent from one bottle to the next; nearly inexplicable, considering its country of origin changes (current bottle is from Tunisia). Cheers!) - ROSEMARY OLIVE OIL ICE CREAM 3 cups half and half, or 1 1/2 cups each cream and milk 3 sprigs of rosemary, roughly 5 inches each 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt 6 egg yolks 1/2 cup full-flavored honey 1/2 cup of strong or "robust" Extra Virgin Olive Combine half and half, rosemary, and salt in a saucepan and heat to a tad below a simmer. Steep rosemary in the dairy for 15 minutes, stirring off and on. Then discard rosemary. In a large bowl, whisk egg yolks and honey until they're well-integrated. Slowly pour in the hot dairy, whisking continually. Return yolk and dairy mixture to pot and heat on low -- below a simmer -- stirring constantly. Custard is ready when it forms a thin coat on the back of a spoon. Whisk in olive oil, then transfer to an airtight container. Chill in the fridge overnight. Churn in a consumer ice cream maker per the manufacturer's instructions, then freeze for 2 to 3 hours or until firm. Leave to thaw on the counter 10 minutes before serving.

Excellent product and value. As a purist, MOST people that buy organic, would also want a glass bottle. The plastic bottle is the only downside to me.
