The materials used do not seem cheap and it doesn't look like the manufacturer cut corners to keep the price down. I'ts lightweight for traveling. It opens and closes with no problem. It's comfortable and the joystick is easy to use. Not only do you get a great chair but you get exceptional customer service. I have contacted the seller 3 times and they responded each time very quickly. They are even sending me an air cushion for my bony butt. I would buy again. Review: Good value for the money - It's easy to put together EXCEPT the wiring. That is a real BEAR!!!! And it has to be done by someone other than the person who needs the chair. That combined with the comfort level is why I took off a star, and honestly, I think the wiring connection is most of that loss of a star. After assembly, it folds up relatively easily, as per the advertisement and directions. I especially like the ability to put the arms up out of the way to be able to pull up closer to the table - whether eating or working on the computer. Comfort is so-so. I wouldn't want to spend very many hours, back-to-back in it, but, I think that's probably part of the tradeoff for getting such a light weight, but still motorized chair. The weight is actually just about the same as my non-motorized chair, which makes it nice for my husband being able to load it in the back of the truck. I was very(!) surprised though that the front edge of the seat moves up and down as you change direction from forward to backward to forward. My other motorized chair certainly doesn't do that! It gave me quite a start the first time I did it.
