Kasparov's side of story. Nicely written.
Not much jargons or technical stuff. An excellent account of rise of computers in chess, right from the Turk Automaton! Kasparov details his 1997 deep blue encounter which he saw as a science experiment, while IBM as he alleges, saw as a business opportunity. Future of AI is also discussed with a positive attitude.

Ice breaker
I'm not much of a tech savy guy. I have always feared those things so I decided to not to be one and try learn something about the booming topics like Artificial intelligence , machine learning. This book exactly serves that purpose . A wonderful read.

Grab it!
Would I exaggerate of I say that the former world champion of chess is the current world champion of writing! You don't have to try to focus, the book manages to hold the reader's attention effortlessly. The book is also full of little gems.

Decent
Decent book.. Gary Kasparov comes off as quite arrogant and I think he ends the book with a lot of wisdom which is well outside his circle of competence and quite frankly avg. Overall decent read though definitely not in the not top 20-30% of the books I've read this year, somewhat missable.

Worth a read!!
Garry writes about how chess played an important role in the development of early AI Systems. Big portion of the book contains the details of the memorable chess match between Garry and deep blue in May 1997. Deducted 1 star because the book became boring in some sections. But overall a nice read.
