Perfect for my drone

Picked this up for my Neo 2 so I could use my existing controller with it. Obviously it works fine - you can control the Neo 2 with the controller and see the camera feed on the display as usual. However - do you want to? I tried to get a little bit of cinematic footage of a cliff face with the Neo 2 and despite it being calm at ground level, the winds at filming level were sufficient to carry off the Neo 2 - it could not overcome the winds to come back so I had to land and walk 20 minutes up the cliff to retrieve it (thankfully the connection to the controller was maintained so I could track the GPS location of the drone). Do you really want to control the Neo 2 with a controller? Will it actually get you any decent footage when used like this as opposed to its actual use case of "follow me" type footage?

Ich mache es kurz vorweg: Wer sich eine DJI Neo 2 Drohne gönnt und wirklich das Maximum aus ihr herausholen will, kommt am Digital Transceiver einfach nicht vorbei. Punkt. Das ist kein „nice to have“, das ist ein „brauch ich sofort, warum war das nicht gleich dabei?!“. Die Verbindung ist stabil, die Übertragung läuft sauber und zuverlässig – genau das, was man sich wünscht, wenn man seine Drohne nicht nur zum Spaß, sondern auch etwas ambitionierter nutzt. Es fühlt sich einfach runder an, professioneller, als hätte die Drohne erst mit diesem Teil ihr volles Potenzial freigeschaltet. Besonders positiv finde ich, dass die Schrauben bereits mit Loctite versehen sind. Klingt erstmal unspektakulär, ist aber im Alltag Gold wert. Einmal ordentlich montiert und man muss sich keine Gedanken mehr machen, dass sich irgendetwas löst oder im ungünstigsten Moment verabschiedet. Das gibt einfach ein gutes Gefühl – vor allem, wenn das gute Stück in der Luft ist und nicht auf dem Boden liegen soll. Natürlich gibt es auch einen kleinen Kritikpunkt: Der USB-C-Anschluss sitzt jetzt auf der Unterseite. Das ist im ersten Moment etwas ungewohnt und kann je nach Setup ein wenig unpraktisch sein. Aber ganz ehrlich – sobald man es weiß, richtet man sich einfach darauf ein und gut ist. Kein Drama, eher eine kleine Umgewöhnung. Was ich immer wieder lese und ehrlich gesagt nicht ganz nachvollziehen kann: Beschwerden über das zusätzliche Gewicht und den „umständlicheren“ Transport. Ja, das Teil macht die Drohne minimal schwerer. Aber wir reden hier nicht davon, dass sie plötzlich zum Ziegelstein mutiert. Wer erwartet, dass die Akkulaufzeit sich verdoppelt, nur weil man den Transceiver weglässt, hat vielleicht etwas falsche Erwartungen. Ich habe mir zusätzlich eine passende Tragetasche besorgt, und siehe da: Die Drohne passt sogar mit montiertem Transceiver problemlos hinein. Thema Transport also auch erledigt. Fazit: Ein absolut sinnvolles Upgrade, das die Nutzung der DJI Neo 2 auf ein ganz anderes Level hebt. Kleine Schwächen ja, aber nichts, was den Gesamteindruck trübt. Für mich eine klare 5-Sterne-Empfehlung! ? Ich hoffe, meine ehrliche Einschätzung konnte dir bei deiner Entscheidung ein Stück weiterhelfen und dir einen guten Überblick geben.
