Perfect for Americano (in its initial days) Excellent for Cold brews and Iced Americano
I haven't tried a lot of coffees and cannot use those taste-related adjectives in my review, but I will try to convey what I felt about this coffee. I bought the Vienna roast (dark roast), French-press grind. This coffee is really amazing. All the taste notes written on the packaging are felt in the first few sips. Its oaky, bitter-sweet, has a hint of cocoa and the roast is perfect for people who are into bitter coffees. It is not very bitter, but bitter-sweet, so people trying coffee for their fist time do not have to worry. It almost has no citrus or acidic tone to it, which I enjoy in medium roast, which makes it perfect as a dark roast coffee. The first sip from this coffee was heavenly. My tongue was really surprised, because it was not at all acidic. All I could taste was bittersweet dark roasted coffee with a hint of chocolatey flavour and experience its smoothness. To conclude, it is highly recommended for people who enjoy their coffee black and hate acidity in their coffee. People who really like the caramel taste and acid in their coffee might not enjoy this coffee. Otherwise, everyone will like this coffee. I will edit my review after I get to make a cold brew, because I really think a cold brew from this coffee is going to be really amazing. Edit 1 <09/04/2021> :-) I usually don't write reviews. Actually I do incase a product is really bad. But I cannot stop myself from writing a review for this coffee. It has been 25 days since I ordered the coffee. I am a casual drinker, so only half of my coffee is over. 25 days means the coffee has lost its strong aroma. Its obvious! Hot drinks with less aroma is not for me. They do taste good, but the cold ones are way better. So, as I said, I tried to make cold brew and I am left mind-blown again this time. Since cold brews are all about less acidity and high refreshment, the cold brew made by this coffee is really amazing. If you still want that acid, try to make your usual hot americano and then add ice later. Trust me, it tastes heavenly. The cold brew also tastes so amazing. I don't think I will change or try new coffees for a while now. Blue Tokai Vienna Roast is my ultimate coffee right now. To conclude, make hot drinks from this grind during the initial days of the coffee. Once it exceeds 20 days, switch to cold brews and iced Americano. Next time, I will try making some iced lattes and experiment with a carbonated coffee of my own. Till then, Enjoy being caffeinated! ;)

A good coffee option!
It's fairly priced and the product bears a recent date of roasting. The coffee smells earthy and a good cup of it has a bitter undertone that I enjoy.

All time favourite
We have been systematically repurchasing Blue Tokai’s French press range every month. We’ve tried Midnight Roast, Attikan Estate, French Roast and Vienna Roast. While we’ve loved all the different roasts we’ve tried, the Vienna Roast is our favourite. So much so that we’ve gone ahead and purchased the 1kg bag. It’s got a beautiful aroma and while it’s a strong roast, it is also sweet. All Blue Tokai Coffee Bags come with an air vacuum seal and a zip lock that allows you to compress the bag once you’ve closed it, pushing the air out and preventing air from entering back into the bag, thereby keeping the coffee inside the bag fresh. While it is slightly on the expensive side, we do find it quite difficult to switch from Blue Tokai as it’s become a daily ritual and something we look forward to every morning.

Good coffee, but uneven grinding ? !
Blue Tokai gives us good coffee ! Lately, we have been purchasing dark Vienna roast, pre-ground for use in our French Press equipment. In this consignment we noticed that during and after brewing, the coffee grounds filled up a large part of the glass French Press brewing vessel. We reground the pre-ground coffee we had purchased from Blue Tokai in our home precision Burr Grinder with a French Press setting. We have been using this grinder setting for several years to grind and prepare roasted whole beans for brewing in our French Press. We are attaching a picture of the two samples. On the right (red arrow) is the coffee powder taken from Blue Tokai. It is distinctly uneven and coarse. On the left ( green arrow) is the powder reground in our home precision Burr grinder for a French Press setting. It is distinctly more uniformly ground and produced a better brew. Blue Tokai may want to look into this.. ! ! 🙂

Right roast for your daily needs.
This is a brew that you might find with an appropriate balance of taste and roast. I always tell people that the secret to the taste is in preparation, especially when it comes to brewing coffee. Brew it for yourself or for all of your friends, Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters Vienna Roast is a good choice.

Loved it
Vienna Roast by Blue Tokay is one of my favourite Brewed coffee. I usually order French Press Grind and they deliver it within a couple of days. Most of the times, the roast is perfectly dark and the taste and aroma of the coffee is rich. However, it does require precise temperature of Water. If it is too hot, you will get a burning aftertaste as the coffee is a "dark roast". But make sure you get the water temperature right and you will be in for a nice, rich black coffee every time.
