Just received my cuttings, Should I make fresh cuts or just put into soil the way they are?

I just put them into dirt and they are doing fine.

How frequently does it need water?

I’m in temps where it has been 100-108. I’m watering every 2 days. But normally once a week

What is the size of the cuttings? Are they multiple branched? Thank you.

They are about 4-5 inches long. Yes, they have multiple branches: 2-3 each. But I was disappointed they were not orange and red as is shown in the photo. The ones I got were all green.
