Most retinol is yellow in color. Why is serum not yellow if it has 2.5% retinol

Take a glass and fill it with 100% plain, crystal clear water. If you add 2.5% of ANYTHING to it, it's not going to change the color of the glass of water. 2.5% sounds like a significant amount when you're thinking in terms of retinol, but 2% of anything is virtually invisible unless it is pure pigment or has an intense, deep dark color in nature, like the copper ions in a copper peptide serum.

Love it!

Just started using this after previously using the 1% Retinol from the Ordinary. I absolutely love the consistency of it. Similar to the Cos de Baha Peptide serum, it has a viscous consistency that feel really soothing and looks like it might help counteract any side effects from using such a strong percentage of retinol. I can't comment on the long term effect it will have on my skin yet, but I can say for sure that it's a pleasure to use.
