As a new golfer, I’m always looking for ways to improve my swing, and there’s no shortage of gimmicks and tools claiming to be the best. Connector-style trainers like this HRYOML model are extremely popular, with many users reporting good results, so I was excited to give it a try. The trainer arrived unassembled and included no instructions in the box. While the seller provides basic guidance on the product page, this could be an issue if you’re giving it as a gift. The set consists of a dense memory foam wedge and three alignment rods, all of which appear to be good overall quality. However, the package also doesn’t include training instructions. Fortunately, there are plenty of YouTube videos that cover the basics. This is not a passive training device—it requires you to learn some technique of its own. I struggled to get it working for me, and using it felt awkward. I plan to keep practicing with it and hope to see results. Considering that similar trainers often cost $100+, this model offers decent value by comparison, though it still feels overpriced for what you get. Overall, if you’re interested in trying a connector-style training aid, I’d recommend this one for its solid construction and relative value.
