Are these good for applying wax over chalk paint furniture? Must leave no lint

These towels don't have lint, my experience was extremely good when using these knit rags for furniture, you can purchase one pack and try one piece and you will see wrote away the results.

if I hand wash in hot water and air dry, will it feel hard when it dries?

I generally wash these by machine. If you wash my hand and air dry I don't believe they would be hard as they are light weight.
