I've never had a party before so this is insanely important to me. I ordered 20 oysters from this seller and decided to open 2 of them. There is a slight smell but not too terribly bad....however, if you do what I do and place it in water first before opening then that scent goes away. I opened 2 of them and was instantly pleased with the pearls inside. While the oysters themselves were a bit small the pearls...one pink and a dark colored one were adequate size. The pink one was in the tiniest oyster I'd ever seen but it was the bigger of the two pearls and had a fantastic color. The dark colored one is so dark it looks black. I believe these pearls will please my friends so I placed the rest of them in the refridgerator until all my orders of pearls, cages, necklaces and bracelets come in and I can coordinate the party. Is this a US distributor?** A: Hi,This item stock in Amazon warehouse, so they are shiiping from America. We are the oysters producer, not distributor. **Q: Are theses real pearls?** A: Yes, when opening the pearls they are imbedded in the meat of the oyster. One pearl out of the 20 was not perfectly round which happens with real pearls sometimes but still beautiful. **Q: Looking for oysters with just green pearls in them.. I need 10 ?** A: Contact this supplier. You can absolutely just get an order of different variations of green pearls. Pearl color cannot always be an exact match, but getting green is definitely not difficult. They have supplied me for almost a year with oysters and have a color chart. Extremely easy to work with, and resolve issues quickly. I'm not sure what is held in their US warehouse, as I deal with ordering directly from them in China.
