HD9 Professional Monitoring Headphones — High-Power Handling, Closed-Back, Circumaural Acoustic Design Studio Recording Headphones for Professional Mixing and Monitoring

These exceeded even my high expectations for use with both desktop and laptop computers. The sound quality is magnificent and they seem to be built to a high level of durability, which the manufacturer claims as their goal. Their comfort level over a long time period is so good, that I almost forgot I had them on. For the price, these cannot be beat!!!

Superior quality

These headphones have great sound to them and fairly comfortable. I use them with my peavey modeling amp in a small space where I can jam out without disturbing the rest of the family. Great quality.

I purchased these on sale and was pleasantly surprised by how good they are for the money I paid (less than $60). They are very comfortable on my big head (7-3/4 hat size) and they completely cover my ears like good studio monitors. I use these with my electronic drums. I do not use them for mixing, I'm not sure they are good enough for that purpose, but for playing my drums with backing tracks they sound great. If I was recording and needed monitoring headphones for the musicians, these would be suitable. For the final mix I might opt for something a little higher end.

I got these headphones mainly for multi-track mixing. I've been using a set of Audio Technical ATH-M50x for a couple of years, and while these PreSonus cans are half the price, they sound better. The bass is tight and loud, but not in an "enhanced" or exaggerated way like most consumer headphones. The highs are clear with no harshness, and the midrange sounds very natural. The mixes I've done with these translate well to my studio monitors as well as my car stere, home theater, and even earbuds. Overall I am quite impressed with these.

After you have them on for a while they get a little uncomfortable, but that's really the only dislike I have about them, they sound great. I also actually wish the cord was coiled to but that doesn't affect my review at all. I think they have really great sound.

***update***The HD9 cans are not closed back. This is probably why they sound really good but leak like crazy. Why in the world did nobody not mention this? This thing has seven or eight holes out the back on the cans. They are the size and style of what you would see if you removed the pads. They holes are on the top and hard to see, you have to flip the cup and look at the "seam" part.I'm still on the fence about these cans, but you should consider these semi-open. I'm going to have to modify these guys so I can use them for vocal tracking.See original review below, the leakage was noticable immediately.***original review***These sound good enough. That's pretty subjective anyway. I would say they're flat adjacent. And they're more comfortable than a whole host of studio headphones which seem to never want to stay on my head, or pinch everything around the ears. My head size is snapback hat size 4 snapped in, 3 unsnapped.Now to to iffy stuff.These aren't noise cancelling at all. Obviously these aren't active noise cancelling but you will hear sounds if someone is in the same room as you. What I mean is that I can't zone out and ignore whatever is going on without turning the volume up to the uncomfortable zone.On to the thigh test. Yes it's a thing, look it up. These leak. I can't possibly believe that a condenser microphone wouldn't pick up the leaking sound from these if one were to use it for that purpose.Pros: Look nice, sound nice, fit/feel really nice.Cons: Non-replaceable cable, super annoyingly long non-replaceable cable, leakage both ways.I may or may not keep these. It's one of those, "not all that bad, not all that great" type of products for me.

Absolutely the best set of headphones for the price. I use these to mix sound at my church, they do a good representing the sound in ear and also blocking the house as well.

Ich komponiere mit der DAW Studio One von PreSonus. Der Kopfhörer HD9, der auch von PreSonus angeboten wird, hat meiner Meinung nach einen hervorragenden klaren Klang.Das ist bereits mein 2. Kopfhörer des gleichen Typs, weil der erste am Ende des Kabels einen Wackelkontakt hatte. Ich hoffe, dies tritt mit dem neuen nicht wieder auf.

I use these with my Home Studio to play and record Guitar & Bass through my PC. The response is great with excellent bass (but not too much). Every frequency can be heard clearly. I honestly don't believe these can be beaten at the price! They also stack up equally well against headphones at twice the price including both pairs of my Sennheisers. They are extremely comfortable and fit perfectly around my ears to help block out external noise. I really feel immersed in what I'm listening to. I don't have very big ears mind but even if I move them off centre of my ears they are still very comfortable. I haven't given noise cancellation a high rating as the headphones don't actually have that feature but due to the over ear design they still manage to block out some of the outside noise, just not a lot. However, I bought them for indoor use so that was not a concern for me at all.

The sound on these headphones is amazing! Used them for my sound class and they really were excellent quality! The price point is very good too!! Definitely worth the purchase!!!🥰🥰🥰

Sono cuffie eccellenti, non leggerissime ma comode anche dopo ore di utilizzo. Suono ottimo , forse sono un po' spinte sui bassi, ma a questo prezzo l'alternativa è accontentarsi di qualcosa di una qualità decisamente inferiore. Al contrario, per trovare certe prestazioni bisogna spendere il doppio; esteticamente sono anche molto belle ma è tutto un altro utilizzo rispetto cuffie "da passeggio".
