The Adult Portion Plate - Food

I'm really enjoying this. I'm famous for over eating so when I saw this I thought it might help me learn to take better care of my body. I use the plate to measure what i'm eating and then put my food in a bowl but i'm finding that though the portion is significantly smaller than what I'm used to, thats a good thing. I feel full after a meal but not stuffed to death. And when I'm hungry later, I use the plate to measure and i'm good to go. Highly recommend!

I enjoy this plate! Initially I purchased it for a family member and decided to get my own. It has truly helped me with controlling my portions in my ongoing quest for healthy living by allowing me to visualize how much I was actually overeating. I've used smaller size plates for years but never gave thought to correct proportions. I get where other reviewers say the plate doesn't look like much. ..it's a plate and I did question if they've actually used it for the informative tool it really is. It washes nicely in the dishwasher but I typically wash mine by hand as a personal preterence. It isn't microwavable but my food is already hot when i serve it. I just ordered another to have on hand.

we should all be using this. its amazing how portions have went out of control. i blame my weight gain on my inability to judge portions. This plastic/melmac type plate is a cinch for getting portions right. the blue outer ring and white inner ring have meaning too----for the size/gender/etc of person. instructions are included. a tad pricey but well worth it because after you use it a while you can guesstimate very good on other plates such as at outings and restaurants.

It can be a great tool, perfect size, portion control is very important. It seems to be well constructed, the graphics are clear. No issues with microwaving, it hasn't warped, I've only had it for a few weeks, I don't have a dishwasher.

It's a great idea for portion control but I think measurements should be under the photos of the portioned food to make it easier for people but other than that small downfall it is a great plate. I recommend it definitely.

I know it says 9 1/2 inches, but the portions are very small. Maybe that's the point...but they say that starch should be a fist sized serving and protein the size of a deck of cards. These sections are much smaller. I guess there's no law that says you can't spill over the dividing lines.

A seriously cheap product.Only good enough as a display for proportions.Not very durable and the plastic material is thin and is not made to be microwaveable (per my internet research).

Seller was fast and efficient. Received it in a timely fashion. Item was as described. However my bf has Chron's so will have to find a sub for whole grains as he can't eat much fiber. Was also sad that the plate is not microwavable. However, is very useful. I will soon start using it and hopefully my whole house will lose weight.
