Fine Grain Yellow Polenta, Specialty Imported Food, 5 Pound, Pack of 1

This Fine Polenta is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!!! I was very excited to try this, so I opened the bag and I immediately thought, oh no I should've gotten the medium ground.... I like to use like grits. Anyway, I cooked up a small batch to try it out, it looked way too creamy in the pan, not as coarse textured as my former brand. So, I was skeptical, I tasted it and .... I love it, it has the most wonderful flavor. Surprise, surprise the finer creamier texture was just as perfect as it could be! I will not be purchasing my former brand, commonly seen in the grocery markets. This is it.... I am so glad I took a chance and tried it. The cooking time is awesome around 5 minutes only. The quality is fresh Yum! Folks just get some and prepare to be amazed!

Love this polenta. The texture is smooth and consistent, and it cooks up nicely every time. You can really tell it’s a quality product. Great flavor and works well for a variety of dishes, whether you’re keeping it simple or dressing it up. The 5-pound bag is a good value and lasts a while. Definitely a staple to keep on hand if you enjoy polenta.

Great price and quality polenta.

A really good quick polenta/grits product. It was so fast to prepare, only stirring for 10 minutes instead of the usual 25. In the past I only used Bob’s Red Mill polenta(grits) and it is very good but with the pandemic I couldn’t get any and had only the option of 25 pounds (way too much) in mail order so had to find something new. Colavita makes great pasta so tried these and not disappointed. Reasonably priced for the super high quality, ease of preparation and flavor. Highly recommend this product. Would note that unless you like your grits super thick to have some extra boiling water nearby to add as needed while cooking. I had to add more to keep the consistency I prefer. Since I made this for shrimp or scallops and grits I also added some shredded cheese and a pat of butter once off the heat and before serving as it enhances the flavor for that dish. Will be buying this again.

I used this for polenta with mascarpone in Nick Stellino's recipe called Sausages and Peppers Country-Style for La Cucina Italiana magazine from March/April 2020. Well worth looking for. The polenta cooks up deliciously and I certainly intend to use up this bag! The picture is from that article, but it is a true representation of the finished dish. Mangia!
