Good for a road bike, no for rougher gravel rides
The feel of the tape was great but it was too thin to provide shock absorption in rougher gravel rides.

Nice tape
I put this on my gravel bike 'cause it came in the color I wanted, Good in every way except the roll barely covered my bars, not enough left over for a couple inches to cover behind the hoods. Had to use old tape that didn't match. In fairness I have gel pads under the tape and my Salsa Cowchippers may need a little more, but it has not been a problem with other tapes I've used.

The Best
I havetried dozens of different bar tapes over the past 30 years the States is the best by far- goes on easy and stays on and looks great and feels great with just the right amount of cushion and grip.

a lot lighter than i expected
am not a fan of how much lighter it came out in person than pictured. i bought because the photo online really matched my tires, but that wasn’t the case when installed. outside of color, they’re decent grips for the price

Great tape!
I originally got some thick, clunky faux leather tape for my handlebars, and boy was that a mistake. These have just as good (if not better) of a look and they feel so much better.

The best thing is that the color of the seat matches ...
The best thing is that the color of the seat matches this bar tape so you won't look tacky with different shades. As long as they come from State Bike co. And they are super confortable. Pretty tough to install but way more than enough for errors.

Installs and feels as good as more expensive brands
I've tried a fair amount of different bar tapes over the years - usually one of the most well-known and reputable brands. I know I like cork tape with a good amount of stretch and an adhesive strip on the back. This meets that criteria. I was hesitant at first to buy it because since they started out as a company, I've seen State Bicycle Co. as a purveyor of the cheapest and least-resilient trendy bicycles. Maybe I was being too snobbish for my own good. The only issue I had while wrapping this bar tape was the adhesive strip on one of the rolls started coming right off the tape when I was trying to pick the waxy paper off of the adhesive. But I've seen that happen with $30 handlebar tape just as much. About 5 years ago I started applying amber shellac to my freshly wrapped handlebar tape, to both accent the colour into a much warmer shade and to lengthen the lifespan of the tape significantly. The last time I had to wrap these particular handlebars (also with yellow, by another brand) was 4 years ago and it was still holding up, but was no longer aesthetically pleasing. This new State Bike handlebar tape (omg, I just realised they call it "grip tape," which it is NOT - it's bar tape; grip tape is the sandpapery stuff you put on a skateboard deck) turned a perfectly warm shade of orange-ish, golden yellow, matching my ochre Brooks B-17 saddle on the same bike with 3 coats of amber shellac. Unfortunately, even with the protective coatings of shellac, the tape took on blemishes almost immediately, looking nearly as marked up as its 4-years-worn predecessor. But that might have been because I was gripping it with black leather gloves while riding in 3 days of heavy rain, so it's understandable and only knocks one star off my review.

Ripped almost immediately
I took this tape to a bike shop to have a professional tape my bars. They ripped almost immediately and I ended up buying tape from the bike shop. The dude said it was really poor quality.

buen material
sin duda el color es idéntico al mostrado y su textura buena en relación al precio. sin dudar solicitaría otras a futuro.

comfy, nice feel. surprised how fast these dry after it rains. length is good for bullhorn handle bars. Tape itself is great! but the end plugs are pretty bad.

Tape itself is good and the colour is great
Tape itself is good and the colour is great, but this does not include finishing tape which is advertised on the package. Also, the end plugs are not especially high quality.
