NitWits All-in-One Lice Treatment Spray, Kills Super Lice & Eggs, 120ml

I bought this 5 years ago when my curly long hair minion came home with creepy crawlers. Treated immediately and repeated a week later. I recently found her and her youngest had some uninvited creepers over just in time for the summer. Very sillily I searched for the best and another brand the ‘Orange one dragons den’ came up and I thought yep I’ll get it. It is horrible like actual syrup texture and long hours did nothing so I went through my order history and found that I bought so so repurchased - I was confused with another popular brand so I couldn’t remember! Anyway never again will I forget this is the best, best formula, easy to apply, nice smell and just overall works. I treated both my minions and myself just in case and repeated a week later with solution left 3! Our heads were covered with saturated hair like we oiled our complete heads no strand left behind - for reference, 1 thick curly past shoulder length, 1 long up to hips, fine silky hair type and 1 past shoulder length beach curls medium thickness hair type.

I managed to cover 1 head of thick, long hair and one head of thick, short hair and there's some product left. Not sure it would do both again but I should get one more use out of it. The comb is naff, I have a nitty gritty so I used that. Every nit was dead. Just bam. Dead. Combed them out and shampooed their hair twice (the kids, not the nits) and one had soft, lovely hair afterwards, the other's was a bit greasy still from the product but pleasantly there was no horrific odor like the lotions my mum used on us and sent us out to play in. Huzzah. Now 3 days on I've checked both kids again and there was zero. Nada. Zilch. Would recommend.

I’ve been trying to get rid of headlice from my daughter’s thick, waist length hair for about 6 weeks. We’ve tried a couple of well known over the counter brands, combined with combing but (despite following instructions and leaving the treatments on for suggested time) i was combing live lice out. I decided to try this and I think that we might have finally got rid of them. I liked this product better than others because the spray is easier to apply than lotions and when I combed her hair afterwards any lice I did find were dead, which gave me hope that any eggs we missed were dead too. We have ended up doing 3 treatments over 7 days to try to break the lifecycle which has needed 2 bottles (on 1 very long thick head of hair and 1 bob) So not cheap, but I was desperate!!!

I never write reviews, mostly because it is an entirely subjective exercise. This, however, I made an exception for. Let me give you some context. I am not a worn out parent fighting the good fight against these pesky blood suckers. Dearest Reader, I almost wish I was. No, instead I am a 22 year old university student. And I HAD nits. I caught them on a night out. The last big blow out before final exams. Firstly- I was in denial. I have quite sensitive skin see Dearest Reader, and I had just changed shampoo and conditioner. I put the excess itching down to that. After changing my shampoo and conditioner for the next wash, and I was still wanting to claw my scalp off, I put it down to stress. Final exams see Dearest Reader, and you never know what tricks your body will play on you when you’re stressed. It all changed about 3am a week later. I had woken up and my scalp felt like it was on fire. I ordered the metal nit comb from here, and the next day I set to it, expecting just to find either lumps of dandruff or clumps of my scalp coming out. But oh no, what was this? A live nit. IN MY HAIR. I hit the bottom Dearest Reader, I cannot lie to you. I was smack bang in the middle of a set of very important exams and I broke down. I was defeated. I am 22, single, jobless, in nearly £50K of debt from uni fees and now riddled with headlice. I wanted to chop all of my extremely long, thick and VERY curly hair off and never go outside ever again. But I picked myself up. Trawled through Mumsnet (a scary place for someone who has not got children. I salute you all). Found this as the most recommended weapon against them. So I used it and immediately the itching stopped. Incredible I thought, but also too easy. I have always been an easy target for them see Dearest Reader, as my thick curls provide a safe haven for them. Oh but... it was that easy. I used it again a week after and still- nothing. Now I am using the metal comb too, I should make you aware of that. But anything I pulled out the first time I used the product was dead. I haven’t pulled anything out since- despite going through it for an hour. So- one downside, but I refuse to deduct a mark because I’m so pleased to be back at 22, single, jobless and nearly £50K in debt but NIT FREE. This did leave my hair very greasy. Maybe because I used too much, maybe because I left it in for 40 minutes... who knows. So use it over the weekend as it took me 3 washes to make sure my hair was back to its dry and grease free self. Good luck out there. And remember- someone always has it worse off than you.

Its not just for kids works on grandparents too. No need to put a comb in each box for me- the comb too thin to comb my tick hair anyway . But otherwise good- I agree with other positive reviews

Amazing stuff. Killed everything. Super easy to apply with the spray nozzle. Smells lovely. Really easy to brush through your hair after applying because it is like an oil. Other reviews say it is difficult to wash out but I didn’t have any problem for myself or my toddler.

This is an oily formula, so will need to shampoo twice after using to ensure all product is out. It helps remove anything on scalp and hair. I strangely like the smell of it which leave your hair smelling like dolls hair. Not for everyone but I liked that. I found it effective and a little bit expensive but was good for what I paid.

Excellent product killed the lice straight away. 1 bottle did 2 treatments on long hair. Smells nice & not as greasy as some other products I've used so was easier to wash out.

The only headlice spray I will ever use. Its effective - we do every weekend for a few weeks when needed and its just so easy, not bad smelling, not irriating to the kids, and EFFECTIVE!

Best ever! One and done! I wish I had known this sooner cause the stuff I got from store i kept having go over kids heads again and again and never fully did the job. This stuff is easy to use no known side affects smells great! Not expensive application easy. I LOVE it!

After 2 other treatments we went for NitWits and we ended the problem, thanks!! We have 4 girls at home so imagine the headache! Will buy it again!
