Regular lubrication of the shredder cutting unit is essential for maintaining optimum destructive performance. Fellowes shredder oil sheets maintain cutting blades and extend the life of the shredder. For best results, grease the shredder every time you empty the trash or at least twice a month. To lubricate the paper shredder, simply insert the lubricating sheet into the paper feeder and release it (if you have a wider paper feeder shredder, you may need to use 2 panels side). When the lubricating sheet is crushed, move the shredder with reverse gear for 2-3 seconds. For safety reasons, do not use spray oil to lubricate the shredder. These lubricants are petroleum based and can cause serious fire hazards. This Fellows product contains 10 sheets of vegetable oil and is suitable for all shredders. Regular lubrication is absolutely recommended for particle cut and micro-cut models.
